Hey, thks mod was EXACTLY what I was looking for! Well done! Though if I can make a suggestion, could you perhaps make the armies use their unqiue names when recruited, instead of just "[PLANET NAME] Army 1"? So for example "1st/2nd/3rd... Mechanized Army" for the mechanized army type. I think this is possible, as Alpha Ash did this in his Invasion mod, maybe you can check the code there to see how he did it. Thanks!
Petko_ Mar 11, 2023 @ 5:39am
Yes, gj figuring that out!
Endless Void Mar 9, 2023 @ 10:14am
would be great if the gene soldier and power armor corps can be combined into a new army unit like a Spartan super soldier or Astarte like unit.
StarSophia  [author] Mar 2, 2023 @ 3:51pm
@singleton30 the AI can now use the added units!. Honestly I had never thought of adding any defensive buildings but I do know its possible. I'll have to poke around with that!
singleton30 Feb 28, 2023 @ 10:10pm
So uh, have you figured out how to make the armies work with AI? Also is there any way to have buildings that produce a defense army version of these modded units? (i.e. airfields, tank factories, etc.)
Hazardous Jan 10, 2023 @ 12:46pm
Still my favorite armies mod
Armistice840 Aug 16, 2022 @ 2:07am
hmmm this might be what ive been looking for
StarSophia  [author] Aug 4, 2022 @ 9:37pm
Sadly not right now, I'm not really sure how to get that working though there isn't a lot of documentation on getting the ai to use modded armies, especially with up to date information. I'm sure I'll figure it out someday though :D
lidku716 Aug 4, 2022 @ 5:57pm
Does the AI also use these additional armies?
Qillin Aug 2, 2022 @ 1:10pm
Looks cool ;o

Paradox has made some changes to Modding code in 3.3
StarSophia  [author] Nov 27, 2021 @ 9:06am
oh hey thanks! should be fixed

Got this in my error logs:
[15:22:44][persistent.cpp:35]: Error: "Malformed token: .75, near line: 274
" in file: "common/armies/additional_armies.txt" near line: 274

Forgot a 0 there.

I would also like to propose that you can add something like 'land battleships' and 'Aero Bases' (inspired by Gundam series), basically huge vehicles that act as maneuvering bases and heavy artillery platforms. I think that'll be really cool!

I found that in my game, Ais don't really use the army types in this mod although it should have been a better choice. Any ideas about that issue? By the way, this is really a great mod and I truly love it!

Is it possible to include a new army type.... a Super Tank Armor Corp.???

They have more HP and Moral Points, they do slightly more damage but less then that of the Power Armor Corp.

But their maintenance & cost is more then the Power Armor Corp. like 3 Energy Credits to maintain... not sure on the initial cost to train them honestly

And they require a tech to unlock them

Been reading up on WW1 & WW2.... so I thought I pose this question :)
Proton Mar 24, 2020 @ 2:44pm
I will try and see if there is any negative interaction.
StarSophia  [author] Mar 24, 2020 @ 2:39pm
Hmmmmm... that's strange, they look fine on my end. Perhaps a different mod is affecting something?
Proton Mar 24, 2020 @ 8:47am
I've been using this mode for as far as I can remember. Love it!

Just one stupid question from my side. Since the last update the icons for the armies don't seem to appear any more. Is that just me?
StarSophia  [author] Mar 15, 2020 @ 9:59am
Hello! Just un-pause the game and wait a couple seconds, the armies will then appear :)
Field Marshal Zhukov Mar 15, 2020 @ 2:05am
for some reason whenever I start a new game with this mod there are no armies that can be recruited
=CrimsoN= Sep 17, 2019 @ 5:58pm
This is seriously underrated! Nearly every other ground warfare mod is either outdated or ridiculously over the top. This mod feels like something that should have been in the game to begin with. Thanks for making this!
StarSophia  [author] Jun 26, 2019 @ 8:28am
Alrighty, I took a look and it should be fixed now.
K0rruptedYouth Jun 25, 2019 @ 12:36pm
I started to use UI Dynamic Overhaul, and when using this mod, I can't see the attack strength of my garrison units in the planet view.
Saphurial Apr 7, 2019 @ 2:05pm
Thanks for answering my question so quickly! I'll subscribe then
StarSophia  [author] Apr 7, 2019 @ 2:01pm
Yes they can. As to whether or not they actually do, I have no idea. I haven't really looked at AI army compositions with this mod activated. I will look next time I play though.
Saphurial Apr 7, 2019 @ 1:33pm
Hello, this mod looks cool! Can the AI use these armies?
StarSophia  [author] Mar 24, 2019 @ 3:21pm
It should be safe to use with pretty much anything yes.
K0rruptedYouth Mar 24, 2019 @ 3:04pm
Stellaris mod manager notes incompatibility with Glavius. Safe to use?
Solarius Scorch Feb 19, 2019 @ 3:16pm
Great, thank you!
Subscribing now.
StarSophia  [author] Feb 19, 2019 @ 7:21am
Yes, they are all available from the start of the game except for PA corps. The only reason why PA corps aren't is because "Powered Exoskeletons" is a tech in the base game and it wouldn't make sense for power armor to exist if exoskeletons don't exist. (Also, you need to research powered exos before the tech for armored exos appears.)
Solarius Scorch Feb 19, 2019 @ 1:13am
Are these armies available from the start, or do they require research? I imagine PA Corps would require the player to get armoured exoskeletons first.

@Jack_Hazardous - Check the description!
StarSophia  [author] Feb 18, 2019 @ 9:34am
Yo, I really like that idea! Thanks!
Hazardous Feb 17, 2019 @ 3:08pm
an idea for machine empire armies, chemical thrower troops. basically robots that carry chemicals that are not only deadly to organic units, but also excrutiatingly painful death. Basically walking war crimes.
