is this not usable with JRPG race ? all hair is clipping through the helmet

So I wanna mention that, I got this mod, but it seems that it doesn't free the hair from the ninja mask hat, which has blatant visible areas from where hair should be spilling out, and instead shows a buzz cut.

this mod was great, but i had to unsuscribed, because, it gave me, clipping in the a LOT of the hats

Not sure if that's possible Neilarcangeles. Since in the fcs the option to hide / show hair is set to true / false or on/off (been awhile since I messed around in the fcs)

if you want my advice is to start by removing the hair on top of the rattan hat and hat you can remove the edges so that the hair is tucked in and not sticking out

i noticed that the flared helmet (which cover the whole head) let the hair mesh appears still. Maybe it needs a patch, seems the only full head helmet to be bugged

@dvandahlist Never had an issue with it myself, so not sure what my be causing that. Its entirely possible that in the years since I made it something conflicts with it. Sadly I've long since lost access to the mod files after several upgrades and formats and such. I do wish I could update them, but sadly all my mods will have to remain as is unless I rebuild them from scratch

There are data recovery programs that you can use. Best result when you haven't overwritten the data clusters with new data...

first of all thanks for the mod, but for "flared helmet" the result look really horrible, the hair coming all out from the top of the helmet. Is there a way to disable the effect for this specific helmet? Thanks!

Samurai Helmet hides the hair, works for all other i've tried though, great mod!

Oh that's why it wasnt working, i totally second that, can it be patched for Mediocre black? Or is there a tut on how this is done in the FCS?

oh i'm sorry yes it is a mod that makes copy of regular armor branded "mediocre black" , basically darkening all armor and giving a slight stealth bonus, it was made by oi__io

@THANATOS not familiar with the mediocre black armor, is that a modded armor? I don't see it in the editor by default.

@sendalkeadilan it would, yeah, but that would be best as a custom mod separate from this one as allowing all helmets to clip would negatively affect the majority of the helmets in the game.

Would it be possible to just enable hair clipping for all helmet? I'm using invisible headgear mod and the himekishi mod that has custom 3D model which is incompatible to Kenshi's vanilla headgears.

Thank y for repliyng! Now i think... Visored Helmet looks weird with almost all hair. Maybe spikes or mohawk isnt that bad, looks nice with some ponytails, but other seems pretty glitchy. But i can always shave my head if i dont like it x)

@Star I've updated to add in the Visored Helmet :) Let me know how it looks, IIRC I left that one out due to it enclosing the entire head but it's been a while since I checked. If it looks funky let me know.

Rather some risk of clipping than the eternal buzz cut. Maybe now I can give some of my characters things other than the armored face plate! =D

Can we disable the "free-ness" on select hats/helms on ourselves (if yay, how)?
Would be wicked if it coulbd be enabled on the individual unit level.

Now I can give my squad members nice hair and still wear hats (pity it doesn't work with Omo Items). I really like this mod.

Been using this for a while and loving it ! It doesn't seem to work with [Flared Helmet] or [Spiked Helmet], this could be a conflict with other mods but I don't think it is, again not sure. Thanks for the mod !
