this is a very interesting version of my favorite aztec map
in my opinion, there is not enough one passage from the room that leads from the point of appearance of the CT to the curtain bridge to the point of laying the A bomb.
and so great performance!!!

Nice map. Can you make please DEATHMATCH for it. because bot cts dumb and i like practising 1 vs 7 in deathmatch. It is eye pleasing and nice variation of aztec.

Quick notice Invalid, most of the clip brushes were removed, resulting in easy exploitation of the map (going outside the map for most parts of the map.) Other than that, the changes are excellent!

Sounds good mate, drop me a msg,...saw that csp_aztec also had that side connector between A and B (just like de_aztec_ua) that made me smile,
I'm open to do more changes! Have one more map in the cooking atm, but should have enough time to update this one! Love aztec!

you can check de_aztec from cs promod. it has the greatest element on de aztec ever made. even though i have some more in mind. if you want i could send you a msg with some ideas :). if you care at all :P

her~: thanks for the feedback! when you say "major rework of the map" what do you mean? (the original intention was to keep as much of "old" aztec as possible) and just add a few minor things to make it more T friendly

needs more simplicity and the new mid allows way to fast rotations and no cover. i think you should do a major rework of the map!

I found it some error in the map ( texture 'no draw' and walls ) but my english its not so good, if you want, add me to steam and in game, i'll show you the points you have to fixe it :)

here's an example: I noticed if I start out as ct in spawn there is virtually no lag i can look at the sky my teammates any wall and no drops as soon as I go up the stairs to b it doesnt matter if I'm looking at a wall in the corner but my fps drops to 50

Gush, I'm going to have a look if there is something I can do about the FPS drops, you said all over the map? any specific area that is more worse? Is it worse than original aztec?
Sorry for all the questions, I'm usally very picky to optimize stuff but since I didn't experience any severe issues when I compared original aztec and this version I didn't spend time investigating it :)

I like when the map I'm playing offer a little bit of everything, dust2 is a great example of that, if you have any specific areas in need of additional covers I'd be happy to add them,

Thanks, tried to make the new areas in the same quality as the rest of the level,

Regarding the open areas; wanted to make the new areas semi short distance and more closed to balance up the original open areas (but still keeping it somewhat open) - since it's one of the aspects I've always liked with Aztec; that it's open.

In Aztecs case I think the main problem (as a T) is beeing early locked between double doors and bridge room, the middle route (top level) and the side cellar (water level) adds two short-distance options for the T to flank any "camping" (read sniping) CT's (to prevent lockdown)
And the new connector between stairs access (water level) and B-bomb site leaves short-distace T less exposed when trying to reach the bomb site - in addition it will take longer time to reach the bomb site.
