Good luck with the exam
Thanks for your prediction, I will look into it when I have time :)
I love this mod. I am expecting an upcoming update.
Pigs - Slowpoke -> Slowbro -> Slowking - Slow moving but Psychic powers means they can send things to stock piles.
Chinchilla - Minccino -> Cinccino - The Chinchilla pokemon and are known for their obsessive cleaning so they could be useful to help keep the home area clean.
Beaver - Bidoof -> Bibarel - Beaver pokemon that could help by chopping down trees to provide the colony with wood.
Megasloth - Teddiursa -> Ursaring - This evolution chain could be good defenders as well as helping haul large mounts in their Ursaring form and a little in their Teddiursa.
Cow - Miltank - an obvious means for colonist to get milk but as they are all female they cant breed.
Capybara - Lillipup -> Herdier -> Stoutland - dog Pokemon that can find things hidden in grass and dirt.
Boomalope - Voltorb -> Electrode - like Mareep they give off alot of electricity but also have the tendency to explode and can be made to explode in battle either to defend, attack or clear areas for construction.
The taming value on ALL pokemon is so low that taming with a usual taming skill should almost be impossible (but you are right, tauros is meant to be one of the more stubborn). I actually dont know why there is no symbol on them, i will add it to my todo list.
Catching non pokemon with pokeballs is NOT possible.
A possibility for playing with vanilla creatures is already implemented BUT im not sure if it works 100% correct. Sadly, as it is right now, you will have to start over new for having both. There is a checkbox in the storyteller menu. I will try to improve that in future iterations.
I am kinda busy IRL currently so next patch will need some more time.
I dont think it should, I programmed it so it stands alone and it should not interfere with anything.
To everyone waiting on updates: I was sick for a few days and now exams start, so the next update could take some time because I am involved quite a lot IRL. But no worries: I already started and made some progress ;)
Thanks for that information, i will look into it. Seems strange, cause the houndoom are just arctic wolfs with houndoom texture, maybe arctic wolfs are always that aggressive? Also, did you try to tame them without a pokeball?
@whscorbin I will think over it, but the idea is to replace every animal. Why would you need the vanilla ones?
Butchered Magnemites give steel and components.
I like that "dig" mechanic. But I dont think Ill use it with Tyranitar ;)
Cleaning with Grimers was actually the thought I came up with first too. But rereading their PokeDex entries on Bulbapedia I found it not very fitting. But when they spawn, the current filth actually despawns because the Grimer now consists of this filth THEREOF "cleaning" the homearea. They also digest random items from your dumping zones. Plus you can milk them for chemfuel :D
I dont know yet what ill do with the houndours. Your idea seems cool, maybe Ill use this with a more "cosy" fire type. I am playing with the thought of making them invisible while night time, making them superior predators :D
Magnemites could shed Steel, as they are a steel type. Yes, they eat up power like crazy, but that's what you have the Mareep for, they balance each other out
Tyranitar and their line could, every so often, "Dig" for random materials. A mechanic similar to grazing, perhaps?
Grimers could clean. This sounds counter-intuitive, but hear me out; They're literally made of muck and stuff, so you could rationalise that they absorb it to feed themselves.
Houndoor could just be a portable heat/light source. Could perhaps convey a mood buff for colonists if they get nuzzled by them, a greater one than the standard ones as they'd be warm and cuddly.
Of course, just suggestions. I'm plesantly surprised with how quickly you added Grimer and Muk, good work
I managed to get my Magnnemite back up and running, but then he just continuously drained my power supply and then seemingly discharged it for no reason, entering this re-charge / dissipate loop.
