Sweet mod, thanks! Any reason the cleaner robots are afraid of doors? I have auto doors, and they don't seem to open for the bots....

OK it's NOT clear to me why but a cleaning robot became disabled and my best skilled colonist can't repair it. I can right click on the robot but the repair order doesn't seem to take Any ideas why?

I had no intention to come across as hostile so I'll apologise for that.
Nevertheless, I think that making a note of "What do you do once your bot's broken?" would be a useful addition to this mod's description.

why, use your common sense lad.

when you deconstruct the robot you deconstruct the charging base and you make a new base.

easy as pie. don't know why you come in here all hostile like that.

So, what do I do once I've disassembled a cleaning bot? Do I craft some special table to craft another? Do I wait? Do I deconstruct the cleaner base and craft another?
It'd probably be easier if you added a note about this in the description instead of in the comments.

@Daniel_USA I figured that out. It took a sec to realize I was listed under "Dissasemble Mechanoid corpse" on the Machining Table.

you can't repair it. you need to kill it like it's a pawn and dissasemble it or leave it alone.

I know I can dissasemble a bot at a machining table, but where di I repair? I went to move a base station and it didn't get reinstalled, so the bot ran out of juice, it says it needs heavy repairs or dissasembling... But I can't see a "repair" bot option on the table, the bot, or the base station.

okay. I ended up making my machining table disassemble some mechanoid corpses and it got disassembled along with them. Thanks!

under storage rules, make sure there is a check next to mechaniod corpses.

Whenever one of my bots gets destroyed (cleaning bot diabled), it keeps telling me that there is no empty available spot for it, even though I have a zone reserved for any broken botrs. Any ideas?

no problem glad you enjoy it. hopefully in the summer i'll make an upgraded cleaning robot.

Hey I like it! I have a decent-sized compound with several buildings and a single robot does a pretty good job keeping the place clean. My hospital is always sterile, and the number of cases of food posioning have plummeted.

yeah i didn't make the model it was the original mod maker that did but he stopped getting online. I had planned on a releasing a better cleaning robot for higher tier play but I haven't done the coding for it. I don't know how to design it yet but I will probably just make it a gigantic version of this LOL

Been using it for ages but just wanted to drop by and say that the funky cleaning bot model is a great addition to my bases!

I recommend you use the "clean area mod" and set your own cleaning zones.

All my robot does is wander and he doesnt clean at all HELP

Glad to this mod back that's the one thing that a pain is keeping the place clean

if you download the "job splitter" mod i think the mod author added snow jobs to it (for cleaning robots).

If not ask him and I'm sure he will add it.

I use the "cleaning area" mod and the robots work real good with that.

ah, figured it out, clearing snow jobs break it

its just wandering around, ive set it to the home area, set the home area to encompass the whole base, and its just wandering, not cleaning

u disassemble it them disassemble the base and make a new one.

lol, ur going to have to ask @FuglyPump to make it so cleaning robots do that. I can't do it on my end i can just tell it to "clean". but his job splitter mod should allow robots to clean snow before dirt if u ask him to make it that way.

@Tal i didn't do anything different than the previous version. robots are stupid they just do whatever they want. You might need about 3 or 4 before u actually notice something.

but i will consider making a faster cleaning robot in the future. i cant right now though.

No, in the old mod they would wander around when there was stuff to clean. But it sounds like your version doesn't have that issue ^^

if u dont want them wandering around then recall them and only activate them when u want them to clean. you can further refine this by setting an area for the robot to work with using the robot tab at the bottom of the screen.

they wander around because they are turned on and are finished cleaning.
