Solved it by backwards-ninja-tossing the cube on the top platform and redirecting laser through it :P Thanks for your amazing puzzles.

Great puzzle. Only 9 portals needed; few elements, simple layout and no tricks or ninja moves; so why did it take me so long to work it out! Big thumbs up.

Ah, I found the trick which was the kind of clever solution everyone loves. But I tried it the first time and didn't get it right and thought "well that's not it", then wasted like 30 minutes before I tried it again. Anyway, great map!

Very interesting puzzle, gave me a hard time...which is good. Not sure I solved it the intended way though but I couldn't see any other.

Very unique solution, and very clever. Thanks for the great map as always! And I guess having the cube receptacle at the exit unintentionally solves the ctrl-ujmp exploit, assuming you weren't thinking about that in the first place :P

Neat map! I don't think I've seen anything like it before. At first I tried ctrl-jumping on the cube to get up to the lightbridge to solve the puzzle but then I realized I needed the cube. It took me a few minutes before I realized I had to set up the cube on the elevated side of the map in a fashion where it would redirect the laser towards its catcher when the laser was portaled to it. So I went into the laser/lightbridge room and portaled the laser to the cube, than went out, than used the other wall on the elevated side to do it, allowing me to go in the laser room again, set up the lightbridge, and solve the puzzle from there.

There are some difference between current map and the video since the map was updated, but it doesn't matter really.

The first way I solved it was like the others illustrated below with the angled beam through the portal. The other way involved standing on the cube and jumping up so the light bridge catches you. But I don't think either way is the intended solution. There's no video of the intended solution, just an old "4 Portals' video that was made before the map was changed to prevent that solution.

i solved it like this first:


then i tried again and i couldnt do it for 20 minutes lol
after that, i tried again so i knew for sure how and i found out the way this other guy did it

Another great puzzle. I solved it by sending the laser through a portal at an angle at the right position by fizzling around with the laser cube . Reading the comments, I take it there are two or three solutions.

...and then I ask myself, "why was that so hard?" It wasn't really. I only missed that one tiny thing...

Didn't need any of the stairs; could revise this chamber to be stairless.

If that was the expected solution, I think it was a bit too trial and error, as you can't really aim the catcher before moving the portal... But I suppose I missed the expected solution ^^"

This is front page quallity testing. You need to use your brain to solve the puzzles rather than jumping on faith plates for 2 minutes because people think that's funny. Keep up the awesome work. :D

Incredibly well designed. This map had me thinking quite hard, and when I finally found the solution I felt like an idiot for not seeing it before. If Steam actually let you rate maps from 1 to 10, this would get a 10, hands down.

I loved it! Favorited, etc.. The only thing I didn't like was that i had to reload several times to get the angle right for the cube, as it is easy to miss the target if you have to align the cube while the laser isn't there. Steep angle -> small mistake causes large angle difference. Anyways, this was really good and enjoyable, and quite difficult too.

Great puzzel, however, I did find another solution: pic1 pic2 Maybe if you push the light bridge all the way back, that will fix the issue? All the same really nice puzzel!

That should be fixed now. As a speedrunner, it pains me to remove alternate solutions, but, as you said, it's much easier than the intended solution. Thanks for pointing it out. I also updated the description.

You really modified the chamber fo fix it! I solved with the intended solution; however, it is probably a good thing you modified the chamber as I expect most of those who solved it previously did so with the unintended solution. Your test chambers are generally more difficult than those by my favorite author, Mevious. Keep up the good work ...

The cleaned up version helped a ton with the line-up shots. Only difference was Instead of having the laser come through the end wall for the second time (Which is now elevated) You have to shoot the portal on the side wall. It's brilliant to make use of every whitespace!
