you could try to make a ticket with steam support to see if they can help get it fixed at their end or send you their copy of the map (since they'll obviously be able to confirm you are the author easily) so you can reupload it

Yeah.... I'm not sure why either. My hard drive that had all of my maps died. All maps still work but these two and I have no idea why. It sucks because Inception was one of my best ones (I think anyway) I do have a release of Inception 2 Advancified that works still. It only had a couple of minor tweaks to it so you can at least play it.

I cannot open this level :-( I don't have trouble with any other developer chambers, it's just this one and its sequel inception 2. I can subscribe to the level fine. But whenever I try to play the level, it says "an error occurred while downloading this map!". Help! My internets are fine and I can download and play other chambers fine.

I thought it was pretty cool, the whole concept and how you kept coming at the same thing from so many different angles again. However, it began to drag and get old by the end. I think you cut it off at a good point maybe, in the future make them a little shorter because the lack of a change of scenery for so long can be a bit tedious.

That was pretty good, worth a thumbs up, although I did get a bit bored towards the end doing the same thing over and over. I fretted for a while about whether to bring the cubes along with me (I could have had quite a collection), but soon realized that it was not necessary.

Regarding your question about the beginning of a dream, yes, of course I do. Like any time-limited narrative, a dream begins when the narrative begins, that is, when your mind begins to record the events of the dream. You don't "wind up right in the middle of what's going on" because until you begin creating the dream, there is nothing going on at all. If you read a story, at the start the characters exist and are in the flow of their lives. They don't all wake up from comas and say "OK, the story has started, time to start doing stuff".

I think you did a very nice job! The inception theme is great, with like "start is in the middle" and you go to your level 2 dream (gel) and come back to level 1 again ;) Very cool, also Inception 2 is awesome. The gel part kept me thinking a while too ;)

I like the recurrences here. Always wondering what could happen behind each door, as well as, I was wishing never find the real exit, or at least later than I found it :) I think you could have made it longer, with more rooms like the "gel" one ! Nice map.

Woah we are not in Kansas anymore Toto! That was good and creepy, creepy and good. The use of multiplre entrances was excellent mirror images and veocity painting (shooting drops high) added up to great effect even the basic 3 shot launch the cube over was cool too. Thanks for making this. Just hope I don't dream about it.

I was actually thinking about this map after i played it, and was thinking, to keep with the inception theme, you could introduce a series of 'drops' toward the end.

nice idea. for some reason it was glitchy. In the rooms where I had to remove a cube for something to happen....sometimes it didnt happen. Had to restart twice but the idea was cool enough that I wanted to see it through.

Nice alternative for the first jump across the pool after the grey gel room: Keep one portal under the gel dispenser and use it to make a portable surface on the other side of the pool.

Ah new addition since my last playthrough. The suggestion from previous time really works good now. :) Given some more suggestions but you pointed out it was silly to do it that way and there is a better way.

Nicely done. I remember someone making a level with duplicate rooms before, as part of a Wheatley thing, but it's been too long for me to recall what it was. Fun and not too taxing. Diffuculty 3/10 Design 8/10.

Me too, Innocentive. But I had to look at it in terms of "What if someone doesn't take the first cube with them"? I would rather there be too many cubes than let someone get themself stuck.

Good map with not too hard puzzles. But there were a bit too many cubes for my taste. If I'm not mistaken in both of the last two chambers you could have had one cube less... :)

In addition, I had to have a cube in the next area just in case the player doesn't bring his frist cube into the gel area. While I set the gel test up where it can be done without a cube, the next test upstairs cannot.

Yes, but if I placed a fizzler to prevent that, the player wouldn't be able to solve the next part. I considered that and had to go with practicality over immersion in that part.

Cool concept! Only minor flaw in my opinion is the fact that you can bring the cube with you from the gel room. This kinda ruins the illusion.
