Could this be made so that the type of corruption which is being spread depends on the one who destroyed the settlement?
Vampire ruins, Chaos ruins, Skaven ruins each with their type of corruption spreading.
+2 locally and +1 into adjacent provinces.

this mod would be great... except apparently Skaven is coded as ruins and so has +10 corruption. it's made my current Ikit Claw campaign... interesting.

When I used it, every single city had permanent slight chaos corruption.

I think it doesn't need any update,because it touches something that probably ca will only work with it again only in game 3

only for a couple turns then it magically vanishes which in my opinion is very infuriating

I thought that Chaos warriors do that by default? When you raze a settlement they leave a gate behind that spreads corruption

@Vacloud I don't have a straight answer, but I'd start by installing the mod tools, opening the core archives, browsing through the research related tables, and also opening some existing research tree mods to see what rows they modify.

I just started to learn modding and the first thing I want to add is +1 chaos corruption on all settlements to Unholy Communion and Daemonic Pact in the research tree. I aiming to have the player have the same corruption spread as the AI chaos event. Any tips on where to start? I posted this in the TW center forums but nobody has answered yet.

The scope of this mod was only to affect the Chaos Warriors and their unique ruins initially as I believed actually establishing a portal to the Chaos Realm should have a marked increase in corruption in the surrounding provinces.

Beastmen totems already had this corruption spreading mechanic, and a user of the mod requested I tweak the numbers for them a bit which I thought I may as well.

Adding chaos corruption spread to Norsca is beyond the scope of this mod, in my opinion, as it adds a new feature to the faction. While modding new Beastmen features is beyond the scope of this mod as well, I feel, all that was changed for them was an increase to the numbers that were already in the base DLC.

Anything that adds functionality to anything other than the Chaos Ruins I'd rather put in a separate mod.

Why not? It would only make sense right? Norcan Tribes worship the Chaos gods, why would their ruins don't spread Chaos corruption.

This mod increases the values of corruption spread by Beastmen ruins as well as adds corruption to the Chaos Ruins left by Chaos Warriors.

This does not affect Norsca totems.

I only used mods that disable the PO bonuses for ai and malus for player based on difficulty, and nothing else.

I tried to replicate the issue, I ran the mod by itself but didn't experience a freeze, then ran it with others and still no freeze. Are you sure it's this mod in particular?
