you can, and you can even do other things and you have a fate plate that you can experiment with

I CANT MAKE A PORTAL AT START OF THIS LEVEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could also solve it with the excursion tunnel present in the base. not sure yet
CosmicD  [auteur] 3 feb om 1:13
yeah that can be a bit hit and miss but when you use your abstract thinking you can preemptively make your jumps align. Maybe I kinda count a little bit too much on that. I might experiment with a draft mechanic so that your player is being pushed over the ledge without having to do something yourself, dunno. I don't have portal 2 installed now.

Great world except for the end jumping portion which is just really frustrating. The rest of the world is great. Unless you get it just right the platforms keep knocking your ball loose. The rest is so much better than the end.

good map but the jumping part at the end is very frustrating. I hate having to jump holding a cube... it throws off my timing.

great work. because it's a pre-recorded message, please disregard any undeserve compliment.

I don't know if this is a glitch or not, but it's possible to stick a portal on the second level of the "shrine" and one on the wall next to it and skip the entire faith plate part of the puzzle. Other then that this is a beautiful puzzle series.
CosmicD  [auteur] 24 mei 2014 om 8:30
well it's a bit of both, I like combinations. You use the logic to get the ball and the gel where it needs to be and trhen "funny times" lol
Petutski 24 mei 2014 om 8:07
Excellent map, but I have to admit I like pure logic puzzles better than jumping ones.

Great collection so far, everything looks great and plays super. Thanks for making my day better.

Really nice, once again. These chambers are really beautiful to look at - quite a work of art.

Took me a while to figure this one out but made perfect sense once I got it.

Until the last chamber I really liked it but the jumping puzzle drives me
crazy :(
Stric_Matic 20 jan 2013 om 4:36
Excellent couple of chambers, love the custom audio in the whole series as well.

Agree with the leaking textures in the office and the fact that jumping the platforms while holding the sphere was somewhat annoying and fifficult to pull off. Took a few tries.
DrFauli 18 jan 2013 om 9:15
nice map, too. Nice puzzle elements, with good fun. =)
CosmicD  [auteur] 15 jan 2013 om 5:34
thanks, the leak in the second chamber is no doubt my sloppy brushwork connecting to the observation labs, I'll have to take a look at this when I polish the maps
Spooky 15 jan 2013 om 3:06
I didn't find this chamber frustrating at all. Another 10/10 from me ... onto Part IV. This series of chambers is excellent so far, I have to say great work CosmicD grrrreat work. mucho respecto
SqueeBat 13 jan 2013 om 18:39
Wonderful puzzle and great design work, but I can't help but point out the big leak in the office of the second chamber. Other then that graphical glitch, everything looks really awesome.
BabyCharmander 13 jan 2013 om 15:48
Kept losing the ball on the platforms--I think they were placed a little too close together? Otherwise, pretty good. The "See ya!" at the end was a cool surprise.

Listen to this! I dropped into the portal placed under the blue slime in order to fall out of the portal placed above the entry door and I did this with the ball... when I fell the ball disappeared from my hands(presumably got stuck on the entry door ledge) AND VANISHED FROM THE ENTIRE MAP..cool trick

very nice one

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love your level design and puzzle design, and the whole series is great. It's just the way this one chamber turned into a jumping puzzle at the end rather ruined it for me. Jumping puzzle when you can't see your feet are just an exercise in frustration.

I managed it by pre-placing the portals on the floor and dropping the ball in first, then climbing the stairs unencumbered. So long as I grabbed the ball before it hit me in the face, I could then throw it up to the final shelf, before following it the next time around - if I tried to get to the end with ball in hand, I'd always get it hooked on the edge and drop it. Even then it still took me forever. At one point, the water droplets somehow got onto the stairs, and I had to go back and reapply the gel again.
CosmicD  [auteur] 11 jan 2013 om 14:48
I will try to make this process easier by lowering the ledge, making the arrival more visible when i'm polishing all the maps
demshock 11 jan 2013 om 14:12
To jump on the bouncy platforms, try to jump sideways so you won't lose the ball. You can also stop jumping by crouching on the next level, you can even push F6 to quicksave. The last big jump is the most frustsrating because I guess that everyone tries just step forward like I did a few times but I realized that the last platform is bouncy, too. I you jump up before falling down to the portal, you gain more momentum and you'll have enough time to force yourself on the ledge. I hope it helped some of you.

I agree with Akion - I managed to solve it, but it was incredibly frustrating. Had to give it a thumbs-down for that, I'm afraid.
Fiiniishh 10 jan 2013 om 4:42
it's cool
JasonKai 10 jan 2013 om 2:17
Awesome map LOL
Akion 9 jan 2013 om 10:13
Maybe it's only me, but I absolutely HATE when you need movement skills to finish a map. If I want to play that kind of game, I just fire up Quake3 defrag or Xonotic Race / CTS. Maybe I'm just doing something wrong with the platform jumping/bouncing part, but I couldn't finish that. The previous ones were all very good, because they needed mostly logical thinking, but when I ended up the 20th time dropping that ball (hah) on the last platform, I just skipped to the 4th part.
Thumbs up for the effort though.
Nobody No-One 7 jan 2013 om 13:37
no, the ball said "See Ya" very quickly.

Very good but i'm not skilled enough to be able to bounce on the platforms while holding the ball , I'm dropping it all the time ,thus i can not finish.........

Whew! I thought I was missing something. Oh look, there's a rate button on this very page. A cheerfully bestowed thumbs up. Now on to Intermezzo!
WantedShadow 6 jan 2013 om 10:33
Awesome map! Took me a while but I got it :)
CosmicD  [auteur] 6 jan 2013 om 0:20
strange, you should get a "rate" window at that time. I need to recompile this map anyway because I need to make the suction of the sphere stronger in that last part
skh1 5 jan 2013 om 21:11
Quick question: is the darkened chamber after the elevator where the text "end of playtest" is displayed and brief glimpses of the the walls are shown the end of the test? If not, I have absolutely no idea how to proceed from there. Clues, anybody?
CosmicD  [auteur] 5 jan 2013 om 1:37
it's not always going to be harder and harder, more "wider" and more "interesting", and the next map is a cool "intermezzo :)
Serpeur 4 jan 2013 om 14:18
