Go to your steam workshop directory where you have installed your steam library.

In this directory it lists all the mods you have subscribed for your game. The ID for this mod is

"1138997410"

You can find the mod id from the steam browser address.

Open this directory and you will find the .zip file. you can copy it and place it in your custom mod directory. You can open the .zip file using 7-zip wizard. Open the map_data.sii file from the wizard and edit the file. Save the file with Ctrl+S and then the wizard will notify you that the file is changed within the archive. Click yes to update the file in the archive.

Now rename the archive to .scs and start ETS2 and activate the mod to your game profile. To be clear the modified custom mod DOES NOT show a workshop icon in your mod list. Choose this mod and add it to your load order in the correct placement.

if you want to prevent steam from automatically re-downloading this mod, which overrides your changes and breaks the mod again, you can find the mod in the workshop id directory and place it in your custom mod directory and rename the .zip to .scs

Any tip on how to make the Speed Limit more legible? It's not its position, I think it's the brightness of the white background with a font that is too narrow for the number. Can I change anything in the ui file? What does the "value" value mean?

This mod causes the map to be off-center on ProMods 2.64, It'd be nice if it would be fixed.
Or maybe this could be a user-fault and I prioritzed it wrong.

Unfortunately this either does not work or crashes when I use it with Promods HQ Background and Zoom crash fix. Does not work if lower priority than Zoom Crash Fix/HQ background map and crashes if higher priority. Shame because it looked good in the second or so before ETS2 crashed

Okay so I understand what we need to copy but no matter what map mod I look at I cant find map_data.sii. Anyone know where its located? Ive tried looking in the def folder for the mod but cant find it

You cannot use the day and night version together. Place the version you want to use at the top.

where should these go in mod load order? im using promod and rus. should it (and night version) be towards top, or bottom?? ive tried both

When using ProMod, the navigator line changes from blue to red (def)

Middle-East no longer uses map_data.sii. Just use the ProMods version.

I can confirm this one works with ProMods 2.46, RusMap 2.1 and PM Middle East 2.46 combination. Standard night version with Middle East addon causes misalignment of the map, so I use this version instead.
