I can't seem to be able to activate the candles to place them... I have SKSE but I did remap the "E" key to a mouse button. Thanks!

And then there was light! :). Just got "Country Castle" and it is a great castle/house full of guards and trainers, merchants. One problem, they forgot TORCHES ob the interior, so thank you for this mod.

love love love love LOVEEEEEEEEE hirmsker/crazy religious whiterun guy: AYE LOVEEEEEE
Asayake 6 lipca 2016 o 13:30
Thats no problem - It seems to work fine for me anyway!
mentilreq  [autor] 6 lipca 2016 o 11:40
@Asayake I completely forgot that this mod relies on the Skyrim Script Extender to work so it won't work on consoles. I has been a long time since I worked on this mod, so it completely skipped my mind.
Asayake 29 czerwca 2016 o 5:28
thats fantastic thanks again!
mentilreq  [autor] 28 czerwca 2016 o 17:58
@Asayake Yes I do plan on uploading this mod and others to the workshop.
Asayake 28 czerwca 2016 o 16:07
p.s. Is there any chance you will upload the optional modding file - available on nexus - on the workshop too?
Asayake 28 czerwca 2016 o 16:05

@mentilreq If you want, I can happily help ya with any translation you need.
mentilreq  [autor] 14 października 2015 o 15:52
@Rodjah I don't speak any Spanish, however, if someone would like to create a Spanish translation I would be ok with that.
Rum 14 października 2015 o 15:19
Hey man, any chance for the spanish version? I'm still patient hahaha
Werde Spinner 22 sierpnia 2015 o 20:50
Have installed SKSE and this mod is now working perfectly. I'm so happy to see lanterns lighting up those dark corners of my basement! :)
mentilreq  [autor] 22 sierpnia 2015 o 15:35
@Werde Spinner This has been up for almost three years and I hadn't noticed the SKSE requirement wasn't mentioned. Thanks for pointing it out. I have added it to the top of the description.
Werde Spinner 22 sierpnia 2015 o 10:33
Oh, does this mod require SKSE? I didn't see it mentioned in the description so I thought I would be fine. I guess that's my problem, then.
mentilreq  [autor] 22 sierpnia 2015 o 6:21
@Werde Spinner Do you have SKSE installed? If so make sure you are lauching the game with "skse_loader.exe". The video above shows how it should work if everything is installed correctly.
Werde Spinner 21 sierpnia 2015 o 16:25
Sadly the candles aren't even giving me the option of locking them in place. I don't know if it's because I spent so much time fiddling with them trying to get them where I wanted or not. Does picking them back up into your inventory and setting them down again mess up that option?
mentilreq  [autor] 20 sierpnia 2015 o 5:30
@Werde Spinner Once the candle is locked in place, activating it again will light/extinguish the flame. Use the "Grab" button to add it back to your inventory.
Werde Spinner 19 sierpnia 2015 o 20:07
None of the candles give me the option to activate the flame on? :(
mentilreq  [autor] 28 kwietnia 2015 o 18:54
@Rockjah I'll have to check and see how it's done.
Rum 28 kwietnia 2015 o 18:02
Aww no... it doesn't, would you please do it for the spanish version? This mod is so useful for breezehome dark places and I wish to improve them in my gameplay. I beg you to give a hand to this poor latino player! :squirtyay:
Rum 28 kwietnia 2015 o 10:22
Man does it work in the spanish version? cos I can't see the msc option to craft candles.
elemental_prod 31 marca 2015 o 21:57
super mod! Many of my houses and hangouts are now looking far better! Makes great use of mammoth snouts, finally. The variety of candles is a huge bonus. Can't recommend highly enough for those wishing to add to their game.
vaporlocke81 8 listopada 2014 o 10:22
This mod is beyond awesome. I would have to say it is one of my favorites!
I was just laying torches around my houses to light them better until I found this mod.
Its simple, elegant and easy. Plus, and I don't know if its just on my system, but if you put a candle in front of a mannequin its less likely to displace itself from its stand (an annoying bug).
Big thumbs up for this mod!

Lamps set outside of my hearthfire home disappear. They stay for a period of time but I guess when the outside area refreshes they are lost. One was left but it was in the ground, could not be activated or picked up. It may be that the others dropped through the maping.

Lamps inside the home were not affected.
tyndal 24 września 2014 o 15:19
Secondary odd but I like it..
if I console the wizard lamps with the long base, I get the ones looking like the no base.
the regular no base dropps to the ground as normal.
the one that should have a base drops to the ground and on clicking it, jumps to the air at a 45 degree angle hovering.. and when lit straightens out. it is a hovering light because it has no base. looks cool like that,

again may just be with me and testing it,
tyndal 21 września 2014 o 21:13
It's just being a little buggy for me. I have about 20 filled petty gems and it also seems to dislike stolen silver ingots.

This was exactly what I was loking for in a mod anyway, Thanks for building it.
mentilreq  [autor] 20 września 2014 o 20:57
@ tyndal The only time the Wizards Lamp requires a petty soul gem is when crafting it at the forge. If it isn't appearing at the forge make sure you have a Filled Petty Soul Gem in your inventory, an empty one won't work.
tyndal 20 września 2014 o 19:51
having a small issue with the wizards lamp not seeing the petty soul gems in inventory at times.
tyndal 20 września 2014 o 15:10
Nice mod. I always hate the basement area in a hearthfire house. You could out up a few auto placed lights and that was it. I am now putting lights on my roof.. because I can.

There were always dark areas that I disliked. I use the alter for lutes and have them lined up but it was too dark. Skulls on a shelf.. detail lost.

Thanks again!
Vel 7 września 2014 o 19:54
hey mentilreq:
I love this mod and I have a request: please PLEASE add the script you used to make Wizards Lamp stand straight to make Candelabras and Candlestick work. Been trying to put those two in my Hearthfire house but to no avail----they always just fall onto the floor and there's nothing I can do to make them stand right

very awesome mod btw. Thank you
carter747 23 sierpnia 2014 o 18:47
I love this mod! Thank you! I love decorating the various houses with all the loot I collect, but they are normally so dim that you can't really appreciate the details in the weapons and armors.
Roscaria 3 sierpnia 2014 o 10:11
Thanks for the reply. When I was playing Skyrim today there was a small metal shrine base I believe it was in Fellglow keep (replaying Skyrim) that may have been suitable for a base. Anyway thanks again for thre prompt reply. I have also downloaded two of your other mods today, great work!
mentilreq  [autor] 3 sierpnia 2014 o 7:20
@Roscaria The Mara statue is open on the bottom that's why I added the base. Unfortunately I am no good with 3d modeling software, so I would need someone to close that gap for it to look right. As for adding an Azura lamp, I would probably make it a standalone mod.
Roscaria 3 sierpnia 2014 o 0:01
Quite a while back I queried whether the Mara lamp could be smithed without the clunky base but sadly got no respone. Hopefully this will eventuate and if so would you also consider making an Azura lamp with red flames?. She is the mistress of sunrise and sunset.
AikenAidan 29 czerwca 2014 o 8:35
Thank You. I have had high level [skilled] characters for so long I forgot about that Perk.. Sorry for the confusion..
mentilreq  [autor] 29 czerwca 2014 o 7:52
@Wanked One quick thing to check, make sure you have the "Arcane Blacksmith" perk. The Wizard Lamps require that perk.
mentilreq  [autor] 29 czerwca 2014 o 7:34
@Wanked I will take a look at it as soon as I can. It wouldn't be the first time that happened actually.
AikenAidan 29 czerwca 2014 o 7:22
The mage's Lamps have disappeared from the craft menu. They use to be there, and were my favorite exterior house lights. I reinstalled Skyrim , but that didn't help. I Unsubscribed , then Subscribed again , but that also did not help. Steam crashed thier servers a few times perhaps that muffed your build..
mentilreq  [autor] 6 czerwca 2014 o 12:51
@Timesplitter I gave a thumbs up to your collection. There's some interesting mods in there I would like to check out, especially the player owned merchants.
Timesplitter 5 czerwca 2014 o 23:17

This is a mod I always think I can do without but I always resubscribe after the first hearthfire house. Big Like!!!
