The first allows you to completely bypass the first room on the left. Block off the open space above the collapsable wall to prevent this.
The second allows you to bypass the need for the speed gel by making a portal from the top of the ramp in the room on the left. Either add another glass panel above the one on the left across the water or move the portable surface behind the block across the water on the right.
These two simple changes should tighten up your chamber nicely.
