Great idea, but I think you are going to need more than just and idea. Maybe get a programmer you know on board and start making the game and then create a kickstarter to finish it up after you have some of it done.

Some advice: If you want to make games in a team, learn a useful production skill like art, programming, sound or level design. No one is going to hire you to be an "ideas man". If you want to make your own games, learn to program, OR learn to use tools like Unity or Game Maker... then make your game, build a working prototype and prove it's a good idea.

Side note: sir, i saw what you wrote about Dear Esther, and i must say very well said (y). I played this game, and believe me when i say, i endulged in every emotion it had to give. It really was a beautiful game, even though it was hit hard by critics, i really do think it is a story well done. Just saying :)

1000 WORDS*
Mr. WorldFucker  [author] Dec 10, 2012 @ 12:30pm
@Theevenger i sat and wrote an entire essay on what i can write back, but steam wouldnt let me write more than a 100 words ^^... :P... well in short, all im gonna say is thank you for the feed back and your opinion. I myself have a dream, well not really a dream but a goal per say to get something like this out there, whether on here or not is not the issue. Im sorry that this had to turn into corporate instead of the entire game and what im lacking instead of what my idea's are, but thats fine too, you are entitled to free speech. Thank you again for your input

@Ragnokai: 1. No I suppose it is not wrong to post it, as it is by definition a concept, but it is certainly not an "actionable" one at all. 2. If you want to see designs and take opinions on them, the only way that will happen is if the people doing the designs are your employees. As Gorlom said, unless you are also the money person, that is not a role that you would get to have if you were not also the head developer or something. If you want to be an "idea guy" you would have to add enough value to justify your position, which would mean doing a LOT of writing if you were not developing. 3. I think you're off your rocker about your opinions about understanding the industry just because you are a gamer. 4. You don't have to have previous experience, but you are not posting a concept on ModDB. This is STEAM. This is a place for high quality work. For your first project, unless it's *demonstrably* amazing, it does not belong here.
Mr. WorldFucker  [author] Dec 10, 2012 @ 9:22am
@Gorlom, i understand where you're coming from, and you're probably right, BUT its never wrong to take a chance and posting it is it? I would do the project if i could, but unfortuantely i myself cant do it at the moment. I dont want to be a designer or take credit for the game, i want to be in the making of the game if it is taken up, as in see designs and taking opinions from me and stuff.
I do get what you mean, and it looks weak i agree but its just a concept, even if nothing happens with it, feed back and voting is appreciated thats all.
The project itself, as an idea, is not weak. It has ALOT of potentional being a hard core gamer and enthusiast, not to mention a well informed consumer of this industry, but i understand.
Your comment is appreciated :)

No "group" is going to pick this up and if they do they aren't going to let you still be in control. If you want this game made I suggest that you hire people. you giving them money will be the only sufficient motivator.

As a design document this is very weak imo.

@Theevenger, just a side note, that im sure you might have thought of before, a gamer knows the gaming market more than the developer themselves believe it or not. Being involved in the action of gaming and watching the prospect of gaming evolve and the release of new technologies makes a person more involved in the industry than the industry itself. Ofcourse, the managerial part of it comes with experience and the availabity of the resources makes things ALOT easier, but in the end i believe "WE", the gaming community, steer this industry, so why not make it our own! :D
Mr. WorldFucker  [author] Dec 9, 2012 @ 6:44am
@Theevenger, i do not have any experience in game development at all, BUT i can say that you do not need a certificate or previous title to become one. Creative directors usually are designers or programmers but all they do up doing is creating story and monitoring that all they want in that game is up to par in what he has in mind. Im glad you enjoy the concept i have, and believe me when i say i have ALOT more in mind. This can turn out to be a very promising project to who ever wants the risk. Note that i am only 18 and just started uni, but have high ambitions in this market, since i myself am a gamer ^^, especially of the genre's listed. Im studying management, so handling projects shouldnt be too hard :). Your comment is appreciated!

@Skoardy, i understand and i am not offended at all ^^.. but this project still has not started and no prospect is present so far. I'm looking for a group that is interested in creating such a project. I could sit and waste my time on creating a logo but it would in the end be changed. I can use the excuse of "im busy", but i just dont see the point of lying and or making that excuse. However, note this image was not edited neither taken credit for, but taken from google images with image search of Kingz. I appreciate your feedback :)
Theevenger Dec 8, 2012 @ 9:40pm
I do think your concept is interesting, but I have to ask if you have any experience at all in game development? This is a very ambitious project, and I worry that you may not be able to do this.
Skoardy Dec 8, 2012 @ 12:22pm
I'm sorry but I can't think of another word to cover "taken and used without permission". Other projects have managed to crack out MSPaint/Gimp and create cover images (even when it's just the name written in a large font) without resorting to stealing other people's artwork, why couldn't you?
Mr. WorldFucker  [author] Dec 8, 2012 @ 12:15pm
@Skoardy, im not stealing anything but steam doesnt allow you to proceed without artwork, and im here to promote and idea, not actual work :)
Skoardy Dec 8, 2012 @ 4:04am
Maybe you should have waited until you'd actually got the game development in motion before posting anything? You wouldn't have needed to steal artwork then.
