No brake planet but in my game in French, is "monde mort" (different of "monde brisé") and when you have the end scenario of the black hole signal the Ver and choise Yes, we can colonize.
The type of this planet is append also some time when a primitive empire destroy their him with a nuclear/atomic war.
I hope you understand.
When you enter a solar system, the game loads the necessary textures on the planets, so let's say there is 2 gas giants and 1 molten world, the game will load the necessary textures. Be it mine or PDX', this changes nothing, as they are the same size. The only advantage of reducing the number of textures is for faster access, thus improving preformance on slow computers.
ALL TEXURES are in 2K (2048x1024 px) in ALL the mods, except ONE category, the diffuse textures of clouds (if you don't know what diffuse textures are, pls google it) which are found in the base mod.
These diffuse textures in question are for the the clouds, I made them in 4K to make them look prettier, there is 10 variation of clouds for inhabitable planets, and so, 10 diffuse maps in 4K. The rest is in 2K.
Therfore, if you use the LITE mod, you'll have exactly 443 textures in 2k + 10 textures in 4K for the clouds.
A more graphical representation would be :
Planets diffuse map : 2K
Planets normal map : 2K
Planets specular : 2K
Clouds diffuse map : 4K
Clouds normal map : 2K
Clouds specular : 2K
You can also open the mod folder if you want to take a look.
1) The size is much lower than the combined inhabitable+uninhabitable packs.
2) The game has much less textures to load, and therefore should ease on ram/Vram usage, it should really help less powerful computers to run it. But I can't tell for sure, because I don't have a "less powerful" computer to test it.
As for specification, I can't tell if configuration X will or won't run the mod perfectly, I would need people to tell me how this mod work on their specs, with other mods, etc ... The best way to know is to start the game with my mod, turn on observe mod and quickly move through systems, if there is a lot of LAG, then even LITE is too demanding.
