Had fun completing this chamber.
Narsuaq Dec 5, 2012 @ 1:57pm
Just tried out your second revision. Glad to see some minor tweaks have been added. I completed it without my own special way! :D
TheTane Nov 26, 2012 @ 7:19pm

This was very hard, it took me a few trys but it is a really fun map.!
julien.lamome Nov 23, 2012 @ 2:13pm
Great, very hard. Just one dead end at begining if you miss the portal and fall in liquid
Babymetal Nov 23, 2012 @ 11:52am
nice :З
sleepyEyes Nov 23, 2012 @ 10:53am

Wow, this is very big :D It's amazing :O

Great design, but you still lost me halfway through..

It's absolutely amazing, the way you put all the possibilities to use and managed to re-use stuff within the map for it to have multiple purposes. Also the way the buttons act to create complete stairways is a thing of beauty. It's nothing hard to create, but gives it some extra greatness.

Then to the point which bothered me, it still wasn't "streamlined" enough for my liking. I constantly kept asking myself: "Is this the right way?" or "Am I supposed to be here?" and after a while that made me lose my attention and I rather had a look at the video to see the full beauty of the map without the hassle.

Anyway, one thing that you might want to look into is the small room with the bouncing ball. Flying through the fizzler I just clicked the button through the grating. It worked as well and after a couple of clicks I got a "gel-free" ball...

Best community chamber I've played in a long time. Thank you.

A bit long (Valve should allow us to put savepoints in the community chambers too), but very enjoyable.

Thanks, Solar!
Solar Nov 20, 2012 @ 11:28am
Tried the new version, was much clearer. I like it!
Yil  [author] Nov 19, 2012 @ 9:36pm
Revision 2 is up, please delete this chamber from your queue and redownload it if you haven't run it and/or are running it (have run it) and would like to try a more streamlined version.

Revision one is, of course, still completeable.

Thanks everyone in this thread, and especial thanks to Narsuaq, Solar and Keyser Söze's Son for the Revision One feedback!

Solar, thanks so much for your run-down!

Part 1
I used the times in your video.
Well, it's kinda stupid how I would trap myself, but here we go. :P
I would press the first puzzle button at 0:47, then go back to the main area at 0:51, using the blue goo to access the cube by doing a bounce-jump across the acid river at 0:59 (I didn't realize there was a tunnel from the button to the first cube). From there, I thought, that I was supposed to go into the tunnel by the cube at 0:58, and then I couldn't figure out why I was in the same area as before. I assumed I was supposed to go to the pad area under where you shot the portal at 0:39, but when I reached the pad area, I was stuck, and I had to suicide into the acid waters, as I couldn't access anything from it. I think you can fix this problem by having a no-portal field wipe out the portal when the person flys over the acid area in the first part, forcing them to go through the tunnel.

Part 2
Also, I ended up stuck again at 2:53, I didn't realize that I was supposed to use the laser to activate the pads. I actually spent my time attempting to get the second cube up to 2:49, while I succeeded in that, I had no idea what to do next. Soooo, my attempt was laughable, but I did make it through!

Thanks for you comments and running the chamber Keyser Söze's Son and Mr Fraggle! Keyser, thanks for your critical viewpoint on it as well!
Keyserson Nov 19, 2012 @ 5:47am
If I didn't like something - it was that things activated by lasers, buttons etc should only remain active when said laser/button is pressed. It's a little confusing and unintuitive for wall panels to remain active after their stimulus has been deactivated. That last laser, for instance - there's nothing stopping you from lowering the laser catcher so that the laser can remain active for the wall panel. Will 'gel' much better that way!
Keyserson Nov 19, 2012 @ 5:39am
Phenomenal - having played simple, after simple, after unclear, after not too shabby, this was full of spectacle, puzzling brainteasers, lateral thinking and some very satisfying results. Loved it!
Mr Fraggle (UK) Nov 19, 2012 @ 4:57am
I found that this map did not flow as it was not particlarly obvious of where to go or what was required. But a thumbs up for, what I suspect, was a great deal of hard work.
Yil  [author] Nov 18, 2012 @ 1:13pm
Solar, trapped as in you had to restart the level because you were stuck? Can you tell me how, if that's the case? Thanks for running it and your comments!
Solar Nov 18, 2012 @ 12:59pm
Well, I ended up trapping myself several times in the beginning, as I thought I was supposed to go back to the lift with the cube. Nice puzzle, though. :P
Yil  [author] Nov 18, 2012 @ 9:06am
Walkthrough attached!
Yil  [author] Nov 18, 2012 @ 9:04am
I hadn't intended someone to use the blue gel, but it works so I'll leave it! Thanks for running it and your comments Portal 2 co op!
hobbs Nov 18, 2012 @ 8:25am
okay I agree.

but there are 2 ways to get to the end.

either jump through the blue gel by the laser.

or run through the orange gel to get to the flipper.
Narsuaq Nov 17, 2012 @ 3:57pm
Like Yil said, it isn't pointless. It opens the last panel and deactivates the fizzler so you can jump towards the exit. ;)
Yil  [author] Nov 17, 2012 @ 3:51pm
The laser cube isn't pointless, you used it, as that's the only way the laser field turns on in the bottom of the chamber. From what I'm seeing in your pics everything went swimmingly. The laser catcher wasn't pointless either, it opened that last panel at the very top (as well as turning on the laser field on the bottom) that you likely didn't see open and just thought was open the whole time, it also dropped the fizzler into the last room opening the way for the orange gel jump...you wouldn't be able to do that jump without the cube / laser catcher. I'll post a walkthrough, if you have the time mind watching it?

Afterwards, if you still think there's some glaring mistake, I'll be glad to fix it! Thanks for your comments!
hobbs Nov 17, 2012 @ 1:50pm
or in fact, you could shoot the panel, then just run through where the orange gel is and then fling to the exit ............
hobbs Nov 17, 2012 @ 1:39pm
at the end, i don't know what it is called, the thing where you shoot a laser into, the laser accepting hole ?? anyway, it was pointless,
Narsuaq Nov 17, 2012 @ 9:55am
Great chamber! It's more challenging which is a good thing! Keep doing them like these! ;D
bradcool16 Nov 16, 2012 @ 10:40pm
That looks pretty awesome!
