I don't remember anymore to be honest. There are far more better mods than this one elsewhere. I havnt played skyrim in a while and I found other mods that did this better, sorry!

@Goat duck, dont take my word for it but i dont think it should- dawnguard simply introduces arrow crafting, not bows.

does this mod need dawnguard?

I have checked why the bows sometimes do not show up for 'non-new gamers', it is to do with some sort of papyrus scripting as they were originally created to be non-craftable and this mod changes it; i am not as active on skyrim as i was anymore otherwise i would delve into the papyrus and fix it, if only bethesda didnt create their own programming language.

Some people have messaged this and it seems you may need to start new game, I cant find a fix as the rest of the forge recipies are created through the same process and are layed out the same way too so sorry :|

I can find the hunting bow under steelsmithing but the longbow is no where in sight. For that matter, is there a reason they are not listed under iron smithing with the other wooden weapons (clubs and staves)?

flax would be a nice addition. getting sinew from deer would also be realistic for bowstrings.

Flax plants would be a cool adition for making bows, and chicken feathers for arrows. mebe 25-60 feathers dropping off chickens when you kill them.

i'll try flax, seams like no smithing requires any herb collection so i think that would encourage a wider spectrum of skills being introduced into peoples gameplay

i know that leather is not a good bowstring, but it would work in a pinch. i've tryed it IRL... lol

It streachs to much to use a bowstring, and the fact that alot of bows in Vanilla dont require somthing for a bowstring has always botherd me.

The string isnt made of leather, anyway tell that to bethesda, the make GLASS bows and the crafting dosent need a string. but ill try making a flax plant though or maybe get sinew integrated to animal loot.
