  • The event which challenges the lineality of a betrothal now obeys the "female and equal" matrilineal game rule setting.

  • If the target of a betrothal is already a ruler or an heir to a title, it marks them as such, and thus they won't object to the betrothal later as their status hasn't changed since the arrangement was made. This is made at the time of the betrothal and won't be retroactively fixed in saves.

  • The types of matchmakers who won't object to a betrothal has been adjusted to include the highly honorable as well as those who are zealous and not highly compassionate (in cases where the betrothed is of the wrong gender according to their faith).

  • Fixed ANSF3 characters being spawned in at minimum age range only.
  • Some more characters created by the army events now stick around after the event, instead of vanishing unless they're pregnant or otherwise needed.

Just updating the mod descriptor so it uses the new compatibility tag.

  • Updated for the 1.18.0.1 patch and new expansion. I haven't done much in the way of optimization, however, so I'd suggest you err on the side of more cautious game rule settings for LMF. Optimization work will be ongoing over the next couple of weeks.

  • Updated mod for 1.17.0.1 patch.

  • Betrothals will only be challenged when the betrothed has become an heir if the current holder of the title (assuming the title does not use any kind of elective succession) is the betrothed's parent, grandparent, or great-grandparent. For any other relation, the objection only occurs if the current holder is unlikely to ever have children of their own.

  • Betrothals are unlikely to be challenged when they're with a vassal's liege (or above), assuming they aren't a powerful vassal.

  • Many lover events that center on jealousy or secrecy no longer apply when the pertinent character is part of a faith that permits polyamory. The Unshackled Lust perk also now prevents any lover events that involve stressing about lover relationships.

  • Characters who are lovers, soulmates, or friends with their spouse when they die will enter a period of mourning and receive the Widowed trait for a period of six months to several years, depending on how close they were to their spouse. At the end of that period, they'll receive an event to either remove the trait, keep it for another period, or to replace it permanently with Will Not Wed.

  • Rulers with the Widowed trait can use an End Mourning Period decision to simply move on and remarry immediately, at the cost of stress (and some prestige, if they do so within the first four months - which is considered "too soon"). They can also override the wishes of their courtiers and end their mourning periods through a character interaction as well - at the cost of them gaining stress and harming your relationship with them.

  • European women from non-tribal and non-nomadic courts who gain the Widowed trait will dress in black and wear a veil (I'd love to make it a black veil, but one isn't available).

  • The event for children objecting to betrothals has been revamped, expanding both the description and the array of effects that can occur.

  • The AI will be less aggressive in pursuing matrilineal matches than before, and generally only seek it out for heirs and the second-in-line who are the children of heirs. It will also respect the setting of the matrilineal game rule if it is set to "none".

  • Shortly before adulthood, if an AI character has become an heir or otherwise had their situation change since the betrothal was arranged, and the betrothal is either patrilineal (for a daughter) or matrilineal (for a son) their liege might demand the betrothal terms be changed or cancel it entirely (at the same cost to prestige and opinions as if a player did the same).

  • If you've selected that you no longer want to be bothered by unimportant courtiers requesting marriage, knights and court position holders will now be included in that list so long as their proposed marriage wouldn't make them leave your court.

  • Fixed army event where opponents duel to properly scope to the duel opponent.

  • Fixed lover event where you stress over your lover's known other lover to properly scope to that lover.

  • Added a startup warning event if someone loads LMF with AGOT.
