Important Update:

The German Total War Mechanic has been revised to be more like GDU, and now happens automatically rather than the German player needing to remember to select a focus when they are microing.

- Any naval invasion of France, low countries, Germany, or denmark by the allies is a sufficient condition to trigger Total War and begin the D-Day mechanic (more on that later)

- If the date is later than jan 1st 1943, Total war is declared automatically (I might make this happen later so Germans don't go from fighting about on par with soviets to becoming space marines during Citadel)

- Total war modifier is unchanged from before, 7.5% org, 5% attack/defense, 3% recruitable pop, basically this is a huge buff to Germany if allies try to go for an early D-day, and could very well get Soviets killed if Allies aren't ready to fully commit and kill Germany right then This was a mechanic before, but because it wasn't automatic, a lot of players would forget, so there was no consequence for allies ping-ponging on D-day and distracting axis.

- The GDU D-day mechanic has been added, where once D-day begins, Germany gets a mission to retake all coastal D-day states. Should they succeed, they will receive a small buff for around a year, whereas the Allies will receive a decently sized debuff to factory output for a few months. Again this is to discourage early D-days before the allies are fully ready to engage.

Allied players should focus on retaking Africa and Italy in 41-42, rather than going for very early D-Days, as neither of those cause Germany to get Total War, and as a result should also make sure to give Soviets sufficient lendlease to survive this period without a direct intervention via D-day.

Japan gets 3 more starting mils, so even if they focus very heavily on navy they can still get decent equipment

USA given 8 more starting civs, to make them more of the industrial juggernaut they should be

Desert terrain penalties made slightly harsher:
- Desert: -0.04 -> -0.08 attack/defense
- Deep Desert: -0.12 -> -0.15 attack/defense

AT has slightly less negative defense:
- AT1: -22 -> -21
- AT2: -26 -> -23
- AT3: -30 -> -26
The defense decrease for upgrading is smaller now, to incentivize using better AT rather than just AT 1, because the Hard attack increase is still quite dramatic.

Soviet Siberian Reinforcement Spawn ins have 40% equipment, instead of 20%. The intent for these is still just to plug gaps in the Soviet lines, or if a Soviet is doing particularly poorly and has lost a lot of inf, to hopefully hold the line until winter, so that the game can get past 41

Fixed Soviet starting templates, previously the SPG's were 38 width or had like 3 line spaa for some reason.

German Barbarossa Infantry spawn decision now spawns normal 10/5/1 Inf divisions, rather than 20w/shovels, just for convenience. Of course it now requires 2.4m manpower instead of 1.5m, so perhaps its utility is reduced.

Soviets start with all their dockyards producing Convoys, to reduce possible mistakes from not producing them and thus not being able to be lendleased properly.

Japan has greatly increased core attack/defense during Tora! Tora! Tora! (+50%) to prevent meme invasions capping japan in early 41. They also have 15% more base core attack/defense (+35% now), to make it more easy to defend the Home Islands.
Invading Japan should be very difficult, as the balance of the game is such that Allies should be held up in Asia in 41, so they can't so easily switch to immediately killing Axis, If japan caps that early, the game balance swings hard towards allies winning. Plus, this gives Japan players more time to play, if previously an invasion would have killed them only a few months after actually joining the war

Many minor changes to buff Soviets in 41, in an attempt to stop 1941 collapses.
- If Moscow falls, soviets get a buff until 1942.
- Many more forts and airbases across Russia to give areas to defend.
- The fort focuses that Soviets have are shortened to be only 14 days, and add even more forts than before, it is highly advised that you take them
- Soviets get much faster repair speed as they are relocating their industry, to make them get back up to - speed faster.
- Soviets also get a spawn in of 2 fully equipped heavy tanks at defense of moscow, like the Germans did

Fixed The german heavy tank spawnin, so that they are actually equipped with heavy 2's
Fixed a gamebreaking bug where soviets would get double purged if there was a finland player who declared war on them

Italy Buff:
Italy gets German style Autarky buff, so as to boost their industry and reduce the gap in additional modifiers between Germany and the rest of the axis

Italian highways also now gives German style building slot buffs to all italian core states

Italy gets a focus to have a large amount of Border forts created in libya, to make it harder to take

Italy can get a focus to boost their recruitable pop

However, Italy no longer gets cores on bulgaria when they annex them via decision, instead only 100% compliance. This is to reduce the gap in manpower between italys with a bulgaria player and without one
