Warhammer: Skaven

Опис
Add the skavens.
This mod require Alien Framework.
Load Humanoid Alien Races before this mod.

The ratkins of the under-empire comes to Rimworld.
The vile and diabolical skavens will stage attacks against your colony with slave rats, clan rats, engineer and seers. Wielding weapons like slingshots, crossbows, various melee weapons up to simple machine guns and poison weapons.
Trade with the more "friendly" skaven trader clans that offers access to various traders.

New race: Skaven
New animal: Rat ogre
New factions: Under-Empire, Clan Traders
New weapons: slingshot, crossbow, ratling gun, poison hose/bottle, wind mortar, warplock pistol
New apparel: ragged tunics, cloth hoods/rags, padded armour, skaven helmet, gas-mask, Stormvermin plate
New security: poison mine, manable warp-lightning turret, barricade, Warplock Jezzail

Skaven: Are okay with cramped interiors and don't need to visit the outdoors. They are not effected by general beauty but can still be wowed by impressive dining/bedroom/recreation room.
Smaller bodysize, less nutrition overall but needs to eat more often to keep going, high immunity but less overall health.
Good miners, doesn't mind "ratty" and "tainted" apparel.
Horned skaven: Overall stonger and tougher. Good researchers.
Rat ogre can be bought from the skaven trade clan, either from visiting their base or contacting one of their caravans.

It's alot easier to tweak a mod with some feedback.

Might be fun to have some high tier unit with warplock pistols. I will look into doing that.

I'd hate to request anything further to be done with this already glorious mod, given that I know how working on a single mod too much can burn out the creator's inspiration, but have you ever considered adding Warplock Pistols? I think it'd be a fair addition to balance out the lack of hitting power a crossbow might, and the inaccuracy that a Ratling Gun can possess at range - while the balance of it is that it's a more close-ranged weapon, as stated in it's description:

"Warplock pistols are commonly used by higher-ranking Skaven, especially the fangleaders of Clan Skryre. Similar in design to warplock jezzails, yet smaller in scale, warplock pistols are devastating at close range."

i used the dev mode commands, mostly because i enjoy testing things. there were a few errors, but i will have to go back in to be able to report what they say

You get to pick the pawns but they won't spawn at the map?

i am running into a problem, whenever i try to start using the skaven beginning, none of the skaven appear,and then the game ends. skaven in other factions spawn in just fine, but i cant seem to have any skaven in my colony

Hah, I guess that could be possible. I was digging around and coudn't really find any concrete numbers on their lifespan. I would assume the seers have a higher life span than the others.

about the lifespan thing, from what i understand, skaven actually can live to around 100 or so, the just don't often reach that because they get stabbed or shot in the earlier parts of life, making skaven die around years 20-40 usually. skaven leaders often live a long life because they get out of danger so much, so in theory, a lucky skaven with a good life and stays mostly out of combat would end up living as long as a human.

Yeh, I was looking at more colours. I guess the easiest would be just adding variations on the already existing ones.
Shoudn't be to hard to do.

There was the albino guard or something (white stomrvermins) and yeh it's > Grey < Seers, kinda in the name there.
For the sake of variety I kinda allowed it to change up a bit.
