Profession Framework Mod for Project Zomboid

Adds a framework to simply adding additional professions and traits to project zomboid,
and editing the default professions. As well as simplifying the modding process and letting
professions have the 'special' traits (brave, lucky, etc), it also simplifies the processes
of adding starting gear to various professions/traits.

Be aware this mod adds no new professions or traits itself, it is merely a framework.
For maximum compatibility, this mod should not included in your own mod, but instead listed as
a requirement.

I don't have any use for this mod since I can't code or mod, but the description says that I can edit the default professions. Does this mean I have to mod them or is it in the sandbox settings?

So if you are using the functions that remove all vanilla professions or vanilla traits you should be cautious. Some traits and the unemployed profession are required by the game to function correctly. Out of my head some traits the game "needs" are underweight, overweight etc. Basically every skill that you character can gain/lose over time in vanilla

@Ostin: Indeed I did. Someone else told me the problem might be that the vanilla "unemployed" profession was removed when I deactivated all vanilla professions. So I added a new profession with a different name then "Unemployed" but used the unemployed name for the internal variables. Worked immediatley and the game stopped crashing.

using the -debug mode this mod crash the game, if i remove it the game go without problem, does anyone know a fix?

In vanilla professions code you can set the chance% of your clothing choices appearing when you click Random during character creation. Is this currently impossible to replicate in Profession Framework?

@NukaBoy Did you ever manage to find a fix for the "game crash when selecting a pre-saved trait loadout" problem? I'm getting the same problems with the only trait mods being added being these: 'EvolvingTraitsWorldMarkDynamicTraits;TSW_ScreamsOfPain;SereinaSpearfisherOccupation;MoreBrews;MoreBrewsWineMeUp;Woodcutting Skill;ScrapWeapons(new version);EntertainYourself;MandelaBowAndArrow;V_SlowerSprinters_Joggers", I believe none of them actually use the Profession Framework mod, so is this even a problem with this mod or just any modded traits in general. I've been having this problem for many builds now.

@Dr_Cox1911: Maybe you remember me from GitHub. I posted about selecting trait presets crashing the game with my custom mod (My ticket on GitHub still exists). I know what was the reason now. I added some traits to my professions that used the "swap" flag. For example Cowardly2 instead of Cowardly.

Do you think there will be a fix for that at some point? :)

I have some custom occupations of my own that I have created, however I am having an issue.

If my character dies in-game, you get a pop up prompt to either create a new character or quit to the main menu.

If you select the option to create a new character, when it takes you to the character creator section, the custom occupation does not appear.

I have to quit all the way back to the main menu, and then create a new character that way for my custom occupation to appear.

This is a big problem for the likes of Multiplayer server, because I have to quit to the main menu, if a mod updates, I then cannot re-join my server without restarting it, and that disrupts everyone.

From the several people that I have already spoken to that have also created their own custom occupations, they are having the same issue.

So I am trying to find out how to fix this.
