[Outdated] CH-47 "Chinook" Mk.II

คำอธิบาย
This blueprint is outdated and the Mk III version is available on the workshop. This version still works for now, however the Mk.III has fewer mod requirements since Keen made some things vanilla.



It's finally here! Yhe Mk.II Chinook from Æ4E Technologies

This tandem-rotor, heavy-lift helicopter is a versitile workhorse that can be outfited to a variety of operational objectives.

Capable of transporting 20 passengers or crated cargo internally, the CH-47 is an excelent choice for retrieving supply drops or raiding frenemy bases. With the optional slingload claw installed, this baby can litterally rase the roof.

Whether you are delivering seige weapons to the battlefield, salvaging damaged vehicles, or you just feel like making off with your friend's prized starfighter, the CH-47 "Chinook" is reliability you can count on.

Fully survival ready!

Powered by 20+ small reactors which are all piped to an easily accessed fuel port in the main cabin. The CH-47 sports an integrated backup battery above the cockpit which is capable of hovering the helo if you want to admin-spawn it into a survival world, but be sure that you fill the reactors to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Side doors are easy enough to build out of blast door blocks, and a projector-ready blueprint of the tailramp is available! Just weld up the hinge on the main blueprint and stick a projector directly on it. As an added bonus, the build projector then doubles as an integrated repair projector for the tail ramp!

No multiplayer safe version?
Keen's physics overhaul (at least as of 1.186) has stabilized rotors, pistons, wheels, and landing gear to the point where I haven't been able to get the CH-47's doors to Clang out under normal operating conditions. They didn't even Clang out going 150m/s while doing alieron rolls with a friend grinding down blocks on the server, OR when the slingload system occasionally summons Clang. As such, I dont think a Server Safe edition is necessary for the Mk II. However, if someone REALLY wants one, I could always be persuaded. :)

I ain't too clued up with programming blocks and scripts and such but i tried to cut and shut your chinook into a merlin, whilst i managed to pull it off i kinda failed and it never took off lol, fancy doing a Merlin version? your Chinook has become my workhorse, even modified one into an MH-47

Lol, yeah... I think I accidentally took the "Right, Red, Returning" mnemonic a bit too litterally by putting the red on the pilot's right, rather than the observer's right. :P I'll try and update it this weekend.
