R.E.D. WWII Edition

• Frontline: units can capture tiles (or liberate your allied/friends tiles)
  
• Supply lines: units that are not connected to a city won't get reinforcement and a malus in combat
  
• Fuel: oil is stockpiled and some units are rationed when reserve are low with malus in movement and combat.
  
• Reinforcements: personnel and materiel are needed to 'heal' your units.
  
• Retreat: units will retreat under heavy casualties.
  
• National units: each great power have it's own set of units models
  
• Convoy: automated naval units bringing resources, gold or new units to your coastal cities
  
• Hotseat supported

The R.E.D. WWII Data Files mod must be activated to play this.

All other mods and most DLC will be automatically deactivated to prevent potential incompatibilities. A few mods are marked as authorized.

This mod use a custom DLL and so can only be used on Windows but you can found an older and Mac compatible version (v. 31 beta 4 with less advanced features) on civfanatics[forums.civfanatics.com]

New versions may brake saved games, always finish your previous game before updating

1. Click the 'subscribe' button and go back in game, in the mod section, it will be downloaded automatically.
   
2. Disable all DLC (except the Mongol DLC) and any unhautorised mods. Don't worry, if you forgot to do it, the mod will deactivate theim and reinitialize to the main menu.
   
3. Once downloaded, click the checkbox on the right of the mod line to enabled it.
   
4. Get the R.E.D. WWII Data Files mod
   
5. Once you've enabled the 2 R.E.D. WWII mods click 'NEXT'
   
6. Click 'SINGLE PLAYER' then 'CUSTOM GAME', select 'R.E.D. WWII Edition' in the list and click 'LOAD MOD' (this step will be automated after your first game)
   
7. At this point the mod will deactivate all DLC and mods that are not required and will navigate back to the main menu if needed, just go in the mods menu and do step 5-6 again (this step will be automated after your first game)
   
8. Select a scenario or load a previously saved game (note that new version may break save games, always finish your game before updating)

The mod copy files in the game's folder to prevent a crash when disabling the DLCs. To uninstall, or if you downgrade to a previous version, delete the RED_WWII folder in "..Steam\steamapps\common\sid meier's civilization v\Assets\DLC"

Some scenarios have been disabled because they have not been updated since a long time and may cause bugs and crashes, now that you are warned, you can enable them following the instructions here

• Stalingrad (map size: small) : Play as Germany or U.S.S.R. for the control of Stalingrad
  
• Europe 1939-1945 (map size : large) : Play as Germany, Greece, Italy, France, U.K. or U.S.S.R. on the European and North African theatre.
