How the Achievements Work
First off, welcome to the guide!

This game has a challenge system (similar to Race the Sun or Jetpack Joyride), where you only have 3 challenges you can complete at one time, but can only be completed while they are one of those three.
The steam achievements are awarded at the end of a game, if you have completed a challenge.

For extensive information on pretty much everything else (and achievements too), you'll want to check out this awesome guide. *returns a secret-super-amazing-guide-creator-high-five with Critical Timing*

Chain
Get 40x chain.
Get 100x chain.
To get a chain you must pick up all screws and cogs in between two planets. Missing any or skipping a planet resets your chain. The item that shows optimal jump trail may be useful to some people here, though it costs 80,000 screws.
Collect
Total Collected
Collect total of 5000 screws or cogs
This pretty much counts total score. So each pickup counts towards it and multipliers help build it up.

Collected in One Game
Collect 500 screws or cogs in one game.
Collect 1000 screws or cogs in one game.
Same as above but in one single run. All pickups and multipliers.

Total Gold Screws Collected
Collect total of 100 gold screws.
Collect total of 300 gold screws.
Collect total of 500 gold screws.
Collect total of 1000 gold screws.
Different to the previous two because these count individual pickups (only gold screws), so multipliers do not help to increase this.

Do Not Collect
Jump 50 meters without collecting any screws.
Jump 250 meters without collecting any screws.
The easiest way to complete these is to jump down below the planets and then double jump back up. Usually if a planet is surrounded in screws, then you'll have a tougher time dodging them, unless perhaps you have triple jump.
Make sure to remove any magnet upgrade you may have purchased.
Death
Total Deaths
Die 3 times.
Die 10 times.
Like it sounds. You'll get this as you go for other challenges, but if you need it faster, you can jump off a planet straight down from the start.

Distance Deaths
Die between 100 and 120 meters.
Die between 200 and 220 meters.
Die between 300 and 320 meters.
These aren't too bad. My method is to get about 20-40 metres behind the target (ex. ~170 for 200-220) and jump off a planet mostly down with some forward thrust.
Distance
Reach 300 meters.
Reach 500 meters.
Reach 1000 meters.
The toughest thing about these are the fireballs which get a lot faster later on. An easy way of dealing with them is to go completely below them, then double/triple jump back up to the next planet.
Jump
Total Double Jumps
Do a "double jump".
Do five "double jumps".
To double jump, click the screen (or press the space bar) again while in mid-air.

Double Jumps in One Game
Do five "double jumps" in one game.
Do ten "double jumps" in one game.
This one is easy too. Jump off a planet just too low to make it to the next, then jump up onto that planet.

A Triple Jump
Do a "triple jump".
For this one you have to buy the triple jump item from your spaceship. It costs 20,000 screws. Then, once it's equipped, jump twice while in the air to unlock.

Total Jumps
Jump 1000 times in total.
Counts jump over all games. It includes jumps from planets and air jumps, so the triple jump item is a good idea.
Multiplier
Activate 3x multiplier.
Multipliers are awarded for certain chain lengths:
Chain of x20 awards a 2x multiplier.
Chain of x50 awards a 3x multiplier.
Planets
Total Planets
Land on total of 200 planets.
Land on total of 500 planets.
Land on total of 1000 planets.
This one was the last achievement I got. It's far more grindy than anything, but you'll build it up over normal plays.
If it's the last one, or you just want to get rid of it, it can be a little faster to skip most screws/cogs by jumping below planets, or straight to next planet instead of up. Especially for planets rotating counter-clockwise.

Planets in One Game
Land on total of 50 planets in one game.
This one can be tricky, mainly because of the fireballs. Use the same tactic here and jump below them completely if they're troubling you. Triple jump is useful here.
As Jedo pointed out, you can jump between two planets easily to get to 50 planets in one game if you're having trouble, or just want it quicker.
Plays
Play 10 games.
Play 30 games.
Play 50 games.
This is counted at the very beginning of every game, so it doesn't matter how far you get. This can be farmed by just dying when you first start, but will also progress fairly fast while going for other challenges.
Upgrade
Have 3 upgrades.
This one just needs any 3 upgrades bought from your spaceship. If you haven't already by this point, get the triple jump upgrade. The other two are up to you, though I just went with the cheapest.
Fireballs
Total Near-Misses
Have near-miss encounter with fire ball.
Have 5 near-miss encounters with fire ball.
Have 15 near-miss encounters with fire ball.
Have 30 near-miss encounters with fire ball.
To get a near-miss on a fire ball, jump past it close enough for a small exclamation mark to appear on the screen. It's relatively generous about how close you have to be.

Near-Misses in One Game
Have 2 near-miss encounters with fire ball in one game.
Have 3 near-miss encounters with fire ball in one game.
Same again, but in a single game. Shouldn't be too difficult.

Thanks. :ss13ok: Pretty straightforward - did it in 2,5 hours.

It's worth noting that it's often in your best interest to die immediately after completing an objective since your progress afterwards could be going towards another objective.

I also managed to get 3 near miss on fireballs by jumping backwards on my 3rd "miss". It counted as a near miss even though I eventually hit the fireball. I'm guessing it counts a 'miss' when you get past the fireball rather than get close to it.

For 50 planets in one game, you can jump back and fort between 2 easy planets.
