SW Alien Head Pack 01: Twi'leks (WOTC)

Beskrivning
THIS IS FOR THE WAR OF THE CHOSEN EXPANSION

This mod adds Twi'lek lekku (headtails) as a soldier hair option. Includes a number of lekku pattern/tattoo options for both males and females, with additional headdress models for females styled after Mission Vao, Aayla Secura, and Hera Syndulla. In addition, several face tattoos are provided as facepaints.

Skin colour options are available via my SW Alien Head Pack Extra - Base Heads (WOTC) mod, which is a dependency for this mod.

Notes:
If you are importing characters from a pool that used the legacy/base game version of the mod, those customisations will be broken in this version of the mod. The two different versions of the game have necessitated unavoidable changes to part template names to avoid clashes when both versions of a mod are installed. You will have to remake your characters in the editor.

The lekku use custom physics, so they move about in the same manner as hair like ponytails. I may need to adjust some of the values, as well as increase the subdivision of the lekku meshes in a future update. Note that they have no collision except with each other, so major clipping with the body, and weapons like swords and grenade launchers, can and will occur. I tried to implement collision with the body, but I couldn't get it to work. I've tried to keep the lekku far enough off the back to provide space for armour and limit the worst of it. Also, in some instances the lekku will jump up after certain transitions, like exiting the promotion/level up screen on return from a mission. It seems like this is caused by the physics being deactivated and then reinitiated. This also occurs with vanilla assets like hair and clothing, so it would appear to be an inherent issue with the game's physics implementation.

I had wanted to have males not use any headdress, but it was impossible to get a seamless transition between the forehead of the base head and the lekku meshes. Thus I repurposed the headband prop to hide the join. I had planned on a Darth Talon option, but the only option would be to go the full custom-head-as-helmet route, which I will consider for a future update.

The textures are a bit rough. The source textures for the lekku were only a dismal 512x512, so there wasn't much to work with. Aayla and Mission's headdress textures are custom ones made by me but are very simple, just some basic leather with a mild touch of wear.

I learned a lot by poking through the contents of other people’s mods, such as [GWJ] Kexx and Dor, to see how things worked, as well as reading various tutorials and forum/Reddit posts by the likes of E3245. Many thanks to them and the rest of the X2 modding community for their help, direct and indirect.

Enemies in some pictures are from DerBK's A Better ADVENT 2 mod. Content not included in this mod.

Background characters in some pictures feature elements of [GWJ] Kexx's various Mass Effect mods. Content not included in this mod.

The base heads? Yes. It supplies the head meshes, as the name says. It doesn't change the colour palette, just which one the skin uses (armour colours instead of skin colours). You need a third party colour mod for additional colours, but a skin colour mod won't work (they don't use skin colours, as I said).

Say do we need the Alien head pack for this mod to work correctly if we already have the More skin color's mod (by carmau)

They work fine. Just stop using 2K's spyware-laden launcher and use the Alternative Mod Launcher instead - https://github.com/X2CommunityCore/xcom2-launcher/releases

Neither would make any sense as only heads. And I have no plans for any further SWTOR ports (or probably any more X2 mods in general).
