So, essentially, it's not so practical but it's cool haha

The variable pitch propeller has high torque at low pitch, and high speed at high pitch (becomes a flat angle engine). Due to besiege physics it becomes air brake at low pitch
The mechanisms can be complex and unreliable, which is the biggest disadvantage. And it could be really heavy and takes lots of space. About its weight, it counters heavy tail with rudder and elevator controls, which is not really a problem sometimes.

Variable pitch can be done using RTC(return to center) pistons or limited angle steering hinges.
The former has intuitive control, but the pistons may have to fight against centrifugal force causing it less effective. I made the mechanism on this plane more stable by not using any brace in the rotor.
The latter is compact and reliable, but it's hard to control the speed. A plane might pitch up or down at different speeds, so it'd be hard to keep the plane to cruise perfectly level.

May I ask, as a fan of aircraft designs in besiege, what the pros and cons of variable prop pitch is for planes in besiege? Also love the build, folding wings are amazing :D

The folding wings are slick, and they also let you fit the plane in the bounding box if you rotate it 45 degrees! 😃
