HOTFIXED:
-Major FPS increase when editing large areas.
-Some converted terrain objects became unintentionally visible in mission

Features:
  • Edit terrain's heightmap in 3DEN editor.
  • Raise, lower, smooth or flatten the ground.
  • Works on any map.
  • edited terrain features are saved in the mission file.
  • SP and MP compatible. In multiplayer, only the server needs to have the mod.

How to use:
  • Press SHIFT+Y in the editor to open the Deformer toolbar. (Also found in the tools menu)
  • Please read the in-game help linked on the toolbar for relevant keybinds and other important information.
  • Save the mission before playtesting it!

Converting static terrain objects requires that they are available in 3den as placeable props. You might need additional mods to gain access to them. One such mod for vanilla maps can be found here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2159003266 Any other similar mod should be compatible with Deformer.

NOTES:
1. This mod is in alpha stage, and might break at any time.
2. The smallest brush size cannot be any smaller. The map you're editing determines the minimum area that can be edited.

Thanks Nikko, from what I can tell the mod is running on the server, but maybe that's the fix I need. I'll double-check that it isn't somehow not registering (despite appearances!)

The mod must be installed and loaded on the server. Deformations are stored in the mission file, but applied by the mod running on the server.
Note that if your server is on Linux, you might need to change the names of the folders and PBOs inside the mod folder to be all-lowercase to get the mod running.

Hey, this mod seems to work wonderfully from the editor and when playing either via singleplayer or local multiplayer (Play Multiplayer from the editor) but when I upload our mission file to our dedicated server with deformations applied in the mission file, those deformations do not appear. Any ideas?

Loving the mod, but a bug and a request:

- bug: if the terrain is above or below the set limit, terrain limits don't seem to work. e.g. if the limit is -2m, but terrain is -3m and you try to go deeper, it *will* make it deeper.

- request: alternative manual entry of limits via text box

@76561198344221368 - the minimum size is determined by the terrain. Different maps have different cell sizes, and Deformer can't make changes smaller than the cell size.

@jack_4654 It's either Ctrl+1 through 4 or Shift+1 through 4 to change terrain.

How i do to dont move props when im editing terrain? i want use it with trenchs but everytime i deform the grass the prop goes down, i tried clicking autolevel objetcs to off but it does nothing

To everyone saying it resets when you press play, all you have to do is save the mission and it should work
