FarmLife is a mod created by Stasis. This is a very bare bones guide to the content in the mod. (WIP)

Overview

FarmLife is a mod that adds extensive, you guessed it, farming and cooking. It uses a few of the vanilla items, but largely depends on its entirely new set of custom items.
It adds seeds (including trees and herbs), animal pens, work stations, and recipes. As the recipes are often multi-step, it can be hard to figure out what you can cook.

My aim is to create this guide as a quick reference when deciding on recipes, crops to grow, or which crafting station/tool combos to prioritize. Have fun!


I am not associated in any way with Stasis, the creator of the mod, so I will do my best to keep up with any changes but I can't make any promises! (3/31/19)

Workstations

Workstations are where you craft most of your recipes. Many recipes require an additional tool to be "loaded" onto the workstation in the upper right of the menu screen.

Animal Pens

Animal Pens can be built, giving a consistent source of eggs, milk, and meat. You will need animal feed and a pitch fork (reusable tool) to care for your animals, feeding them once and then waiting for the pen to be labeled "full" for harvest. You can feed them again after harvest, the pens are not used up and are instead reverted to a "seed" state.

Drink Recipes

Thank YOU! This mod breathes new life into late game play. It is intricate, and your guide has really helped prioritize what to build and grow first.
Early on stock pile (buy these seeds from traders) lots of: wheat, sorghum, corn, tomatoes, black pepper, potatoes, onions, apples, olives. Crops from this mod can be planted outside in topsoil, they don't need a farm plot. Some seeds are only available from the traders and scavenging. Obviously, plant ALL your tree seeds right away and replant those extra harvested seeds. You'll also need tons of salt which you will have to mine Halite for. You'll find some salt shakers at traders and scavenging.
You'll need lots of milk, butter, & eggs when you finally start cooking (after LOTS of crafting the many cooking tools). Harvest your full animals with your hunting knife or machete.

Has this been updated or even being worked on anymore? We have the mod in and it seems glitchy with the animals, they do despawn randomly. Pitchfork is not working at all.
