I know I've been away for a while [I've had a lot going on in my life] but I thought I'd stop by first to ask how you are doing, and also if you have some thoughts as to what set of beliefs and pantheon in Sid Meier's Civilization V would most accurately represent the Viking Forn Siðr religion and the Sami Noaidevuohta religion?
I follow the doctrines of Arius (Arianism)
and there are no Churches or denominations today that really follow that.
So seeing it in one of my favorite games is great
This means a lot to me. Sincerely, thank you
Russian translation is here - Game and mods - Russian translations
Dear Tomatekh, you can attach a link to my mod with translations into Russian and then more users will be able to enjoy your work.
The mod includes a religion that represents various shared beliefs across the plains peoples. That's not to imply there are not significant distinctions, but at a certain point it no longer became feasible for me to add so many religions and I had to prioritize similarities where they existed. I named it after "Wakan Tanka" because I added the religion to the mod long before the Cree were added to the game (and named it in the mod files based on likely additions from past Civ games). However, you can use the mod's config file to change the religion's display name to "Kishe Manitou" instead if you prefer the Algonquian cognate. (Basically, I made the mod gradually over a few years but didn’t have as much time to mod when the expansions released compared to the base game, so there are a few well-intentioned compromises with some of the expansion civs).
The mod includes Norse religion under the name "Forn Sidr". You can use the mod's config file to change the display name to "Asatru", "Wotanism", or "Heathenism" if you prefer.
