Yrr Tun

Set during the events of the Stormcloak rebellion and amongst the chaos of the threat of Alduin The World Eater. Yrr Tun is an adventure that takes the player on a quest to make a choice between helping Alessa; a Nord woman who’s family was brutally murdered after being wrongly accused of being Stormcloaks or choose to side with the vengeful Trebon Artorius who also lost family and blames the Stormloaks.

Should the player choose to side with Alessa they will learn to call the giants of Skyrim family. The player will learn to not only speak to the giants, but to call on their spirits in battle. Deciding to help Trebon will set the player on an opposing path, showing them what it is like to hunt some of the most dangerous giants in all of Skyrim.

The choice is yours. Avenge Alessa's family and carry out her vengeance, or dispense Trebon's justice for his fallen brother. Only you can decide.

About Yrr Tun..

What I set out to do with Yrr Tun was to create not only an engaging story between two opposing factions, but to shed more light on the lore behind the giants of Skyrim. I (hope) I achieved this by weaving a story that would revolve around Alessa, a Nord woman who grew up in the mountains of Skyrim alongside the giants. Having upheld the knowledge and customs of Giantish, Alessa's family taught her from an early age how to speak and interact with them. The giants Hodlin and Roggard have been constant companions for Alessa and even watched over her after her parents met an unfortunate end at the hands of bandits patrolling the hills near Black Briar Meadery. Now a grown woman Alessa has passed on the knowledge of Giantish to her own son. Hoping he will one day share his knowledge with his own family when he comes of age...

On top of expanding the lore of the giants, I wanted the quest to have an element of choice. As the player you will decide mid way through the adventure whether you will help Alessa or Trebon, the two main characters of the story. The decision was meant to be made once you had enough information to decide which character you feel deserves your help more. As well as which character deserves a taste of your axe, dagger, and or spells...

Some of what I added to the game..

---Custom spells including Aldarians Fury. Which unleashes a torrent of fire and electricity at your foes. (Available only on Alessa's side of the quest)

---Custom Weapons

---Completley customized exteriors and interiors for the player to explore. Including the Holmgier Sanctuary. (a home for Alessa, Hodlin and Roggard)

---A few custom textures (the roasting giants) courtesy of the Great Johnnie E.

---The ability to speak Giantish! As well as being able to summon an Elder Giant Spirit.

---Around 135 stages worth of dialog and game-play. (More if you decide to play both sides of the quest!)

I hope everyone gets as much enjoyment out of my quest as I did in making it! What I really wanted in designing/writing Yrr Tun was to attempt to create a fun gaming experience within Skyrim that felt like a mini DLC. I wanted to give the player a quest where they felt like they are the ones deciding where the quest goes and where it will end up. I hope to some extent I succeeded and you all have fun playing!
