解説
Map Pack: München Lake Area is the 5th map pack mod that i have released so far.

This map pack follows a different approach than my previous map packs. Where the previous map packs included 3 or more maps of different areas in the same region, this map pack includes 3 maps of the same region, but with other map sizes.

The area that this focuses on is located in the German state of Bayern/Bavaria, in the South of Germany. The exact location is to the South-West of the city of München. The maps include 2 big lakes, 2 small lakes, and 5 rivers.

Here is a description of all 3 of the maps:

- Map Pack Munchen small map:
Image size: 1025x1025. Number of cities: 13. Height range: 85-300

- Map Pack Muchen medium map:
Image size: 2049x2049. Number of cities: 33. Height range: 80-400

- Map Pack Munchen large map:
Image size: 3073x3073. Number of cities: 88. Height range: 70-500

The reason that the height range is different for every map has to do with the size of the maps. A small map needs lower terrain to stay smooth, while a bigger map can handle higher terrain. The sizes of these maps are reletively small for maps of mine. I am mostly known for my insanely large 6k maps. I wanted to do something different this time, and take a brake from maps that have the potential to break the map creation tool mid-creation.... i really hate it when i need to start over placing 100+ cities.... That DOESN'T mean that i will permanently quit making 6k maps. I still feel like the full potential of this game is only reached with huge maps that include pretty big areas, so big train lines can be represented on the map.

About the different map pack style: it's probebly a temporary style. I have 1 more map pack with 3 maps of the same region laying around to be released. After that i will move on to yet another style, more like the old one. This is due to a change in the way i create these maps.... i found an amazing program that pretty much allows me to make endless amounts of different maps, and more inportant, it allows me to make maps of way bigger areas than Terrain.party could ever offer me, and the quality of the maps seem to be better too.... So you got something to look forward to!

Next? last map pack of this style, which will be centered around the area between the German cities of Osnabrück, Bielefeld and Münster, on the edge of the Teutoburger Wald hill range.

@Voracious Lugia Always nice to see people enjoy my work. About your suggestion for a map of the Berlin area: i want to make map packs for every German state. The mod for Schleswig Holstein is already available, and i am currently working on a map map for Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. that said, i can do the Berlin area after Meckelnburg-Vorpommern, since it is a City-state, which kind of counts. Then again: summer holiday is long gone, so the work on the Mecklenburg mod is taking longer, so it might be a while untill the Berlin mod.

@donmiwi it's called "Microdem". it's an opensource program that is made for the sole reason of editing and exporting heightmaps. It's a little bit difficult to get used to, and it doesn't help that most tutorials are useless for it, because the tutotials are from different versions of the program, but when you know how to use it, it can merge limmitless amounts of heightmap tiles, and make insanely detailed maps if you said the map size to hgih amounts of pixels. I mainly use it to import .hgt DEM heightmaps, then i resize them, and there is a tool to detect seas and lakes/rivers that is pretty amazing. After that i export the file in a .tif format. Then i open GIMP, where i can do some last edits to the map (mosly make rivers bigger and put some blur on the map to make it a little bit smouther.) after that i export it as a .png file, and then it's time for the map creation tool.
