Intro
Another route, another set of collectables. The Long Island Rail Road is one of the most jam-packed routes yet, its long and its got a crazy number of stations. As such, it's appropriate that it is the first route since CSX Heavy Haul to have a whole 100 collectables to find.

Much of the difficulty this time around comes from the sheer number of collectables, as every single one is somewhere near a station. Arguably, that makes it somewhat easier than Rhur Sieg Nord as its far more predictable. And unlike RSN, all the collectables actually work this time around.

Here from XBOX or PS4? As I have been told, collectables are exactly the same on PC or console, feel free to share this guide to anyone on consoles!
The Collectables
As usual, we start with what to look for. Some of these will be familiar to the experienced hunters, but some new ones were made for LIRR.

Once again, there are 4 types of collectables to find, with "100" total (technically, there are 101); that's more than the last couple of routes, but the route is quite large and busy, so of course there's a whole lot to look for!

Route Maps

The classic returns yet again; like many routes before it, LIRR is covered in route maps which can be found at just about every single station.

An uncollected route map is a blank poster with "Long Island Rail Road" in the header, walking up to it will put a map in place of the blank poster.
Uncollected
Collected
There are 31 of these maps to find. The game claims there are 30, but an extra one snuck in. I hear there is a 32nd one out there somewhere too!

Fire Extinguishers

While the fire bucket has been a collectable, the proper fire extinguisher is brand new.

An uncollected fire extinguisher holder has only one fire extinguisher present. Walking up to it will place a second extinguisher in the empty slot.
Uncollected
Collected
Extinguishers are also quite numerous, once more having 30 in total.

Damaged Fences

The broken fences are probably the hardest thing to find-they aren't obvious, and they usually aren't on the station platform!

An uncollected fence hole will be a segment of chain link fence that is distorted and has a big hole at ground level. Walking up to it covers the hole with some very obvious warning tape.
Uncollected
Collected
There are slightly less fences to worry about (thank goodness), since there are only 20 spread around.

Posters

While poster style collectables are not new, this particular one is quite different. Looks like some advertisement thing...

An uncollected poster is not unlike an uncollected map, in fact, I think the model is the same, just shrunk in horizontal size. Walking up to one will apply the broadway poster.
Uncollected
Collected
Again, there are not a ton of these, only 20 overall, but at least they are all at platforms.
#1.0 The Mainline
Due to the network nature of the route, I'm going to start with the track between New York and Hicksville, covering all stations in between West to East.

Consdering all collectables are at stations, I recommend finding a good service, and hopping off the train at each station to grab collectables. However, some stations will probably require spawning walking, or doing a scenario instead of a service.
#1.1 Penn Station
At the eastern end of the mainline, we start at Penn Station. Despite Penn being the biggest station on the route, and the terminus, we only have 2 route maps to find here. One of which is on a track the LIRR doesn't (and can't) use.

#1.2 Long Island City
Long Island City is only used in one scenario, that's it, but it still has plenty going on. A whole 8 collectables to get, two of each type! 2 route maps, 2 fire extinguishers, 2 damaged fences, and 2 posters.

#1.3 Hunterspoint Avenue
Being the other station most people will only ever visit in that one scenario, Hunterspoint isn't going to be used much, but still has a surprising number of collectables, 5 in all. That's 1 route map, 1 fire extinguisher, 2 damaged fences, and 1 poster.

#1.4 Woodside
Woodside is a pretty big station and the first that you are likely to stop at on a service from New York. While not the biggest, that isn't stopping it from having a whole 8 collectables, two of each! 2 route maps, 2 fire extinguishers, 2 damaged fences, and 2 posters.

#1.5 Forest Hills
While Woodside may be the focus between Penn and Jamaica, we can't forget that some stuff occasionally stops at Forest Hills. (Same could be said of Kew Gardens, but that station has 0 collectables.) There are 3 collectables here, 1 route map, 1 fire extinguisher, and 1 poster.

#1.6 Jamaica
It's pretty crazy, but despite being such a huge station that about every train stops at, Jamaica just has 2 route maps. The biggest stations get the least collectables huh?

#1.7 Hollis
While along side the mainline, Hollis is technically part of the Hempstead branch. Hollis surprisingly has 5 collectables, that's a bit unusual. It has 1 route map, 1 fire extinguisher, 1 damaged fence, and 2 posters.

#1.8 Queens Village
Another one on the mainline, but mostly served by the Hempstead trains, Queens Village sets the trend of 4 collectables, one of each type; 1 route map, 1 fire extinguisher, 1 damaged fence, and 1 poster.

BEWARE! When you get that damaged fence, you will have to jump down a hill that can't be climbed up. You will get stuck.
#1.9 Belmont Park
Belmont Park is an oddball, it isn't used much and doesn't have much to collect, but it is an interesting place to explore. There are just 2 collectables here, 1 fire extinguisher and 1 damaged fence.

#1.10 Bellerose
Bellerose manages to fit 4 collectables in a pretty small space (it is another one of those stations served by the short Hempstead trains), one of each type; 1 route map, 1 fire extinguisher, 1 damaged fence, and 1 poster.

#1.11 Floral Park
For being such a big station (you can even walk around on the streets under the station) Floral Park has just 3 collectables, 1 route map, 1 fire extinguisher, and 1 poster.

#1.12 New Hyde Park
New Hyde Park is another station with one of each collectable, but the placement of everything off in the parking lot is kinda interesting. There's 1 route map, 1 fire extinguisher, 1 damaged fence, and 1 poster.

#1.13 Merillion Avenue
And once again we get one of each collectable. Merillion Avenue has 4 collectables; 1 route map, 1 fire extinguisher, 1 damaged fence, 1 poster.

#1.14 Mineola
Mineola is a bigger station but doesn't have quite the variety of some others. There are 4 collectables to find here, 2 route maps and 2 fire extinguishers.

#1.15 Carle Place
Carle Place is another standard station, but there are just 2 collectables here; 1 route map and 1 fire extinguisher. At least it's not a big terminus getting only 2 collectables.

#1.16 Westbury
And again at Westbury, we have only 2 collectables to find; 1 route map and 1 fire extinguisher.

#1.17 Hicksville
This is the last place we will cover on the mainline portion of the route. Considering it's the end of the featured route, Hicksville has a good assortment of collectables to find, with 6 total: 2 route maps, 2 fire extinguishers, 1 damaged fence, and 1 poster.

#2.0 Atlantic Branch
With the mainline covered, we move onto the short Atlantic Branch from Atlantic Terminal to Jamaica, covering everything West to East once more.

Since everything is constricted into these tunnels, and all the collectables are at stations, grabbing a train is definitely your best bet. Walking would be no fun for any of this.
#2.1 Atlantic Terminal
We start off once again at Atlantic Terminal. As another terminus of the route, there's plenty to do here. 6 collectables are around, 2 of each type except fences (since we are underground...) 2 route maps, 2 fire extinguishers, and 2 posters.

#2.2 Vanderbilt Yard
While Vanderbilt Yard is not a station, it has a couple of damaged fences to fix (perhaps to make up for the lack of fences in Atlantic Terminal.)

#2.3 Nostrand Avenue
Nostrand Avenue is another interesting elevated station, and it has 3 collectables. 1 route map, 1 fire extinguisher, and 1 poster. Though no collectables are at ground level, it is worth a walk around below the station.

#2.4 East New York
The last place we'll cover on the Atlantic Branch is East New York (Jamaica is covered in the mainline section). There are only 2 collectables here, 1 fire extinguisher, and 1 poster.

#3.0 Hempstead Branch
For the last branch of the route, we'll look at the Hempstead Branch from Floral Park to Hempstead. As before, the guide goes from West to East.

Considering no services cover just Floral Park to Hempstead, I recommend the "Race Day Run" scenario to get to all the stations on this section of the line. That way you can avoid lots of unneeded driving between Floral Park and Penn.
#3.1 Stewart Manor
For the Hempstead Branch, we start at Stewart Manor since Floral Park is covered in the mainline section of the guide. Stewart Manor is another station with 4 collectables, 1 of each type; 1 route map, 1 fire extinguisher, 1 damaged fence, and 1 poster.

#3.2 Nassau Boulevard
It happens again and again, Nassau Boulevard is yet another typical station with 4 collectables, one of each type, so 1 route map, 1 fire extinguisher, 1 damaged fence, and 1 poster.

#3.3 Garden City
Garden City may not be the biggest station here, but it still gets 5 collectables. 2 route maps, 2 fire extinguishers, and 1 damaged fence.

#3.4 Country Life Press
Country Life Press is the only single track station on the whole route, but that doesn't mean it gets a single collectable! We have 3 of them to find, 1 route map, 1 fire extinguisher, and 1 damaged fence.

#3.5 Hempstead
And for the terminus of the Hempstead Branch and this guide, we have Hempstead itself. Despite being a good sized terminus, Hempstead only has 4 collectables. 1 route map, 2 fire extinguishers, and 1 damaged fence.

Outtro
Oh my, that's one big guide, the biggest I have done at least. Hopefully future routes won't have quite so many stations to consider! But the stations are still pretty interesting nonetheless. There might not be all those secret walkways like RSN has, but the stations still offer interesting exploration opportunities. It's quite important to note that no collectables where out in the middle of the mainline this time around, so it seems DTG really wants you to stick around at those stations.

Idk if someone's mentioned this, but there's another map at Hempstead in between the first 2 tracks to the West about halfway down the platform.
