Glutton

Omschrijving
Gluttons are cursed with insatiable Hunger, which they use as a resource. It increases over time, and gives benefits and penalties depending on the current amount they have. They can Devour creatures, which they can then Digest to learn talents that the creature knew. Since they can gain talents, they start with few categories.

This is the basic class concept, and I hope you have fun with it. I welcome and encourage any feedback.

Thanks to all of #tome for their help. Special thanks to FlarePusher and Draknodred for helping me flesh out the class concept and for developing talent ideas, to natev for a lot of help but especially for letting me build off his resource code, and to Fayd for design ideas, including but not limited to the Pica tree and other forthcoming talent trees.

Any chance to update this mod? I'm new in the game and this seems like a fun mod to play.

Nevermind the only I still had my subscripted version of glutton additions enabled
though you should change the name when you get the chance (though that would cause character before such change to loss the skill)

Nevermind I was able to fix the issue with cults by appending , short_name = "DIGEST_DEVOURED", to the digest talent.
And it started to rain 24 mrt 2015 om 19:34
This class is absolutely amazing, I love the descriptions and thought that went into this. It forces you to stop and think about combat rather than just mashing 'Z'. The abilties work well together, and the ability to excrete to quickly run through trash enemies to get to a prize is an insightful touch. As stated the early game is brutal, but rewarding. I had Pox chase me all over the map while I every so slowly whittled his health down. Then I ate him. Whole.

Is it possible to unlearn this move while using the Auto Use Tweaks add-on? Right clicking on the move icon itself gives me only automation options. Right clicking on my character gives me contextual items, but no permanent unlearn option. Thanks for the add-on!

Almost seems like it could be a race, I would love to see this as a slime/ horror, shapeshifting as it feeds and maybe increasing it's size category as it levels and/or eats. perhaps mass as a resource? now I'm inspired, great mod!:pleased:

This is an awesome class! It is unlike any other I have seen. But, I do feel like there should be some early damage dealing moves. Thanks for making this amazing mod though! Everyone should experience this amazing mod! Congrats to you Desophos!

This is an amusing class with a lot of potential for interesting mix-and-match as an alternative to the Adventurer class. It is, however, very difficult to get started at low levels and tough to put together a coherent suite of abilities.

I feel like it could use some sort of direct damage power available at level 1 (something like Slime Spit, maybe) to help get the ball rolling.

Some way to at least partially control the abilities you get from enemies could also be nice. I feel like I'm constantly getting the "junk" powers and I spend a lot of time unlearning talents. Maybe offer the player a dialog with three options randomly selected from the possibilities?

Ah found the limit on talents under constitution my bad for not checking. Open mind sounds more useful to me now. Still is there a way to remove a talent once obtained via devour?

Edit: Figured that one out too, right clicking then perm unlearn. Might wish to mention this to the player in the skill description as they may not realize it's only a click away. Got stealth from a thief lol
