I've tried several options and the "strange" sound in the background after explosion is caused by tank shells or IFV shells. When I deleted in the folder (medium projectiles.pbo) the sound was no longer there.
I also deleted the small projectiles.pbo so I don't have bullet crack sounds as well. I have artillery, explosion and other impact sounds only.
In my opinion 155mm artillery impact sounds are the best. Bombs and rocket artillery impact sounds are very good as well.
But mortar sounds are not so good. And this sound is little bugy, because you can hear it when mortar firing as well. Not in impact only. But after fire from mortar as well. When the shell is out of barrel.
Impact and explosion sounds are pretty good. But after explosion a strange sound is heard in the background. It takes a few seconds.
The Best Setup is to run at the same time: JSRS and RedSounds.
the problem is its not compatible with Virtual Projectile Sound - yet.
once thats fixed its easily the best audio setup, all 3 together.
i have noticed that ACE shrapnel causes a "whizzing" sound though.
Better used with "Ace for Project Injury Reaction", and Project Injury Reaction.
cheers for this amazing mod.
When the artillery goes over your head, the sound is amazing
But it's very difficult to identify the enemy during infantry fighting
I hope we can solve this problem.
For example, you can use the ACE option to control the gun sound
Welcome back. I hope this addon will develop soon :)
