"Guilt is an interpretable term. Some would say, that only the person, who directly caused a tragedy, is to blame for it, but what about a person who made the situation possible in the first place? What if a person causes a chain reaction, that leads to a catastrophe, on accident? Or maybe just by an unfortunate coincidence?
Sometimes fate only depends on trifles. It all depends on place, time and fortune.

In this short drama a recruit joined the war to prevent as much calamity as he is able to. Unfortunately his light-hearted intention to become a good soldier to secure lifes also prevents him from firing a gun. Not to mention, that he is also way to timorous to be a useful soldier.
In the dark moment, when he realises that this might not be the right place for him, there appears a soldier, who motivates him to carry on and to not give up.
But the fact, that the young recruit needs help, puts a small chain reaction with giant effect in motion.
The question which stays in his head is: "My choices built the foundation for this. So, did this all happened in my responsibilty? Am I.. guilty?"

This is my Entry for the Third Annual Saxxy Awards 2013 in the short Category.
