About-
============
The MG42 is one of the happy accidents of the later years of the WW2. The design came about primarily as a resource and cost-reducing measures against the resource-intense, intricate and more expensive MG34. The happy coincidence is they came about a gun that not only did that, but set the tone for belt-fed weapons for decades. It's a roller-locked recoil action, meaning no gas systems. It's got Quick detach barrel that envies most, it's adaptable- capable of being fed and maintained by an assault team and light enough to be moved with the pack, and it's a versative defense weapon. The thing that really sets it apart from it's contempraries too, was the absolutely ferocious ROF -1200 RPM on the low end. It was an MG that needed thourough psyops innoculation to want to even attack. After WW2, with West Germany moving into the NATO fold, the MG42 was retooled for the standard service round- 7.62mm NATO, as the MG1. With some subsequent improvements to tame it somewhat, the end product of the family was the MG3. While the Bundeswehr have formally made the decision to adopt the HK MG5 and replace the MG3, it still sees wide use, and some end-of-life improvements prove that "Hitler's Buzzsaw" ain't no slouch, even in the modern era.

s.S Patrone
Description -
schweres Spitzgeschoß, WWII German Army Standard spitzer ball projectile with a steel jacket and a soft lead core, capable of defeating light barriers in most urban environments, it was a well rounded bullet that proved to be very lethal to infantry out past 1000m.

S.m.K.-v
Description -
Spitzgeschoß mit Kern verbesserte, this was the WWII German Army's default armor piercing high velocity spitzer bullet, featuring a steel jacket with a hardened steel core surrounded by soft lead, capable of penetrating up to 11mm of mild steel at 100 meters. While not entirely a real armor piercing round, it was well known to defeat most urban barriers with ease.

S.m.K.H.
Description - Spitzgeschoß mit Hartkern, this was the WWII German Army's most advanced 7.92x57mm armor piercing round, featuring a heavy spitzer bullet with a steel jacket and a tungsten carbide core making this round capable of penetrating up to 20mm of mild steel at 500 meters. There were numerous reports of lightly armored allied vehicles & tanks getting penetrated by MG34/MG42's using this ammunition when in close proximity.

Please add M1919A6. It will be the good counterpart to MG42.

No CUP compatibility config for this one?

I'd love to see an HK 21 at one point

@Jfgh - I can promise you it's not 400RPM. Respectively, the MG3 and MG42 are 1100 and 1300RPM

Rate of fire is way off. In your mod it`s 400 rpm, but should be 3 times that. Could you please fix that.

Thank you for your work!
There's just one thing I noticed: the rate of fire seems to be a bit too low. I am not sure about the MG-3, but I watched a few YouTube videos of MG-42 firing at shooting ranges and it's definitely higher than what I see in Arma 3. The MG-3 should be below that, but not much.

The original tripod with the periscope etc. would be a nice addon. (Just a thought)
xraykill115 14/nov/2017 às 9:55
Are you going to make MG4/MG5 or the stoner lmg?

@JEFF THE KILLER

Could be the "BWMod" or "PBW: Bundeswehr Kleiderkammer"
