I don't see an issue with naming the mod with the version number as a way of clarifying what's going on. The only advice I would add is a standard piece of text at the beginning to clarify this.

"RimFridge A17 is a mod made specifically for this version of Rimworld - as the game updates I will add a link to the latest version in the notes for convenience for people wishing to update."

Something like that - and this is really only there for new Rimworlders joining the modding community and being unfamilair with the nomenclature.

We're all crashed space travellers, so given it's not actually rocket science we should be able to cope.

See the discussion below and why steam sucks at this

If there's a B19 unstable I'll probably release my mods to that - via both steam and direct download. In that case those who are testing B19 unstable will have the B19 verson. Those still playing B18 will need to switch to the B19 version when it's marked as stable.

But I assume you will create a new one when B19 gets out.

What I want is a version that always get updated when a new release gets out. So I don't have to switch mods everytime rimworld updates.

A link to the a18 version is at the very top of this mod's description...
Hint a18 is the same as b18

So if you are fine with multiple versions, could you add one thats always up to date? I'm currently checking for all the mods that is not updated, and finding replacement for them. I rather not have to look for new versions.

The only issue I have with new uploads for the new versions... There's no way to know about them without checking each individual mod page for the mods I use haha. It really is a lazy thing and I totally understand why you've done this as it does allow for people to remain on A17 (which I'm currnelty doing until all the mods I use are updated) without having to worry. I just wish Steam had some better way of tracking mods or having versions of mod files on a single sub. I have the same problem with mods I make for other games, so I'm not having a go at you at all btw. Just wish Steam would help with my being lazy a bit more.

And thank you for the A18 version. Edging closer to being able to update my game.
