Pokemon Master Trainer (Restored & Scripted)

This is a version of the board game with the same name that was published in 1999. The objective of the game is to become the Pokémon Champion, using the Pokémon you caught along the way.

2 - 6 players

Full game instructions:
(Mirror version[])

I've made an alternate version of the board with the original Earth Badge and removed the discard piles (as JTE suggested in the comments below). You can find it here[].

Changes to the main version:
  • Improved the quality of the chips and centered all their textures (you can see the difference here[]).
  • New model for starter pokémon chips, since the original was a bit sloppy.
  • New board image, displaying the evolution sets from the 1st generation of Pokémon.
  • Scripted bags to deal the chips automatically.
  • All the bags and decks are shuffled at the beginning of the game.
  • You can collect/deal and shuffle the legendary chips with a single button.

Thanks to:
Aisia: Creator of the first version of the game.
KBA Alistar: I've taken the models of the trainers from his mod.
Marcus Raven: Provided the original image of the board -

Smashing these buttons, you help me a lot!

If you had cancer, the cancer had AIDS and the AIDS had ebola and you were being raped for 25 hours a day by a 400lb inmate nambed Bubba, I don't think it'd be a less enjoyable experience than this fucking game.

Note: I'm sure whoever made this mod did excellent work. This is not aimed at him. This is aimed at the asshole who designed this game in the first place.

I adapted your scripts for my original HD update. Thank you for the scripts! Here's my mod with them -

somehow it just puts the yellow chips on the board

Aww! That's so sweet of you. Thank you Isackender!

And no, even FireRed and LeafGreen use the feather design. The asparagus exists exclusively in two pieces of Western-only Gen 1 media (a printed book and a goofy Pokémon painting program), except it's displayed in those at a full vertical orientation. The right-tilt is solely Bulbapedia's doing, and everything that uses the right-tilting asparagus is copying from Bulbapedia's mistake or the wealth of Google search results that have propagated as a result.

The Earth Badge is a grass-seed asparagus thing all across the Internet entirely because of Bulbapedia putting it up as the only acceptable official art even though it's basically the Bad Boxart Megaman version of that badge. I hate it. :angry_creep: I hate it so much.

@JTE Thats why I didn't answer n.n" I didn't create the board's background.

Anyway I've made a version for you here []. I've changed the badge and deleted the discard piles.
You can change the url of the table's background inside the game.
Hope you like it!

@JTE I misunderstood what you meant, and thought you were talking about the original design of the badge, and not what I call the "asparagus" design! I definitely agree; I prefer the original version, not the redesign which -I think- was created for FR/LG

@Grave It's not just a rotation.
Earth Badge:
Bulbapedia Earth Badge:
The entire design of it is different. Ughh... @_@
But that and the discard piles are the board artist's fault, not Isackender's. :steamfacepalm:

@Grave hahah yeah I understand you, but when you have to place a lot of items on the same spot and you want them all to be on the same place (at least in TTS) it becomes a little frustrating, so I decided to place some snap points around the board. Nevertheless, you can erase them all by clicking on the left green button and then the on trash can. Save the scene and you're done.

Hmm, not sure about the idea of centering the chips, I found it part of the charm of the original boardgame that each chip was seemingly cut and off-center in the exact same way across all versions of the game.

Great update! Can't wait to play this on here again. Also @JTE; does it really matter? If you were holding an Earth Badge, you could literally make it point/face either way, so...
