Hydra Slayer
HyperRogue coming soon to Steam!
NOTE: The fish-eye effect is used because it is the most reasonable way to view a hyperbolic world. Special features of hyperbolic geometry lead to unique gameplay.

You are a lone adventurer in a strange, non-Euclidean world. Gather as much treasure as you can before the nasty monsters get you. Explore several different worlds, each with its own unique treasures, enemies, and terrain obstacles. The twist is the unusual geometry of the world: it is one of just few games which takes place on a hyperbolic plane. The game is inspired by roguelikes, and by puzzle games (Deadly Rooms of Death).

Runs on Windows, Linux, OSX, and Android. Freeware.

I've played it on android and have had a lot of fun with it. I think it works better as a phone game, since I usually just pick it up and play it for 5-10 minutes at a time.

I've played this on android, and it's a pretty excellent game. Lots more depth to it than appears at first glance.
Also, it's only dizzying when you're watching a video and have no control over the pace of the character's movement.
It definitely deserves upvotes!

It's a cool idea. The execution is pretty painful to watch visually. However, I am giving it a yes because it is freeware and I would play it if I can get used to it. I like games that try new ideas :)

Voted for it Zeno but I think this is a little too high-brow for average Steam gamers. :P
