GL After All!
No More Greenlight
Release date: July 2017

Defend yourself against the torches and pitchforks of outrageous fortune -- with golems!

Anything you see can be an ingredient whether it be stone, flesh or the very clouds in the sky. Take what you need from the land, throw it into your cauldron, and turn it into unstoppable creations to terrify all who oppose you! But be quick. You only have 60 seconds or you're dead!

Use words of power to manipulate the elements you’ve gathered. Then, discover the results of your work… And whether it will be enough to deter your enemies for another day.

Golem Creation Kit delivers the most fun you've ever had dragging and dropping, right on your screen.

You can check out a content-limited demo, featuring 8 of our 25 golems and 3 days of the campaign.

We hope you'll try the demo and that you enjoy it!

Inspired by great games like Papers, Please and Doodle God, Golem Creation Kit pits you in a race against the clock to survive against the angry mobs that want to burn you out.

This, more than anything else we've made, is our love letter to PC games of the early 1990s, when every title was different and there were no rules to be broken. You won't find anything else quite like it.

Golem Creation Kit is a nearly-finished game and we need your help to jump this final hurdle on the road to release! Thanks for taking the time to read our Greenlight page and we sincerely hope you’ll consider giving us a thumbs up!

@Blootrix Renaming the main character is a no-no for story purposes. If you play the final game, you'll find out why. ;)

I'll look into releasing Demo 2 there. It's almost ready, and will have a bit more polish than Demo 1 did.

@winterslice I really had a ton of fun playing it. I'm sure that Alpha Beta Gamer mentioned the fail on day one tutorial issue in their review, but it wasn't that big a deal, only took a minuite to set things back up.

I was having so much fun setting things up, I read the instructions but didn't actually listen to what I was reading hahaha!

I'm looking really forward to seeing your game develop in the future. I really like the dynamic between the Crow and Fil (would be nice if you could name your chartacter).

I didn't know there was supposed to be hints haha. But it was fairly easy to figure it out, just took me a little while lol.

Also, you should put your demo on and Game Jolt, if you do then let me know and I'll add those links to my vids description.

@Blootrix Thanks for playing, really enjoyed your video! Looks like you found a couple of annoyances -- I never realised it would take you back to before the tutorial if you fail on day 1! I appreciate you being a good sport about it. And about not reading the instructions. ;)

Also the hint system didn't work for some reason. Might need to fix that too. Ahem.

I'm so glad I tried this out, I had an absolute blast playing this!
As far as I'm concerned, I'm a certified Wzrd now :)

Hey @winterslice - would you have any objection to me putting a bit of demo footage into a video of available public alphas alongside Project Automata and a couple games jam demos? Drop me a DM.

Demo is now up! If you weren't convinced before, try it and see, because we're pretty proud of it!

We have both a demo and a longer gameplay video coming. So if you're not sure yet, more is on the way!

I like the graphics very well! Trailer could reveal something more of the game!
