Description
This mod offers two lore friendly and stealth themed archer units for the Empire, regular huntsmen and Wulfheart's Hunters with the Huntsmarshel, Markus Wulfhart himself leading the unit. These units do not replace the crossbows and, the huntsmen will loose against them in a fair fight. What seperates these units from the crossbows is their very useful traits vanguard deployment, stalk and finally snipe. While vanguard deployment will allow them to deploy ahead of the army, what gives them their appeal are the last two traits. Stalk will allow them to hide anywhere and move around undetected. Snipe will allow them to shoot at their foe while hidden in the safety of the shadows.

Huntsmen is probably the most common soldier type found within imperial armies, especially in armies from the northern imeprial provinces. Due to the routine of their daily lives, they have an inate bonus versus large, albeit a small one (5 bonus vs large). The huntsmen is recruited from the imperial Barracks level one.

Wulfhart's hunters is an elite band of monster hunters. After Markus Wulfhart had for many years served Karl Franz faithfully by hunting all manner of evil beings found within the large Drakwald forest, an estate along with a title awaited him. Though he was to be one of the very few commoner filth that arose from the muds of the fields to the grand halls of nobility, Marcus declined the opportunity. In honour of Marcus' refusal to accept this genorous offer; Karl Franz presented Marcus with a weapon, and amber bow crafted from the trees of the Drakwald and embuid with amber magics. Marcus was also commanded to gather a band of the most elite and merciless band of hunters he could find to assist him in his crusade for humanity.

Wulfhart's hunters is a unique unit restricted to but one. Though this ragtag group of hunters might not seem like much in melee, when shooting their amber enchanted arrows; their foes will be but leaves to the wind. These hunters are recruited from the top level of the barracks, aswell as from the top level of the agriculture building.

By the way, yes, yes I will make Wulfheart into a hero unit one day, first I just have to learn how to =P

Update 14/05/17: Gave Huntsmen to all Empire subfactions on campaign and Wulfhart's Hunters to Middenland aswell in custom battle.

can someone port this to Warhammer 2 as either replacers for huntsman and beast units or as a new unit?

The SF guys actyally contacted me a while back and asked me permission to bring these models in. So, they should already be there.

I didn't know you wer talking about costum battle. I was confused since I was sure that I limited the unit in campaign. Also, I really don't have time to find how to make the unitcard purple; I'm busy working on sometng much larger.

@VLM Yes like VLM said, Wulfharts Hunters should also be set to rank 9 when you recruit them :) aswell as being capped to 1 in custom battle aswell, and have a purple UI card like an RoR :)

Have you given any more thought into the two suggestions i made, about making the unitcard of Wulfharts huntsmen purple like an RoR & to restric the unit cap to 1 in custom battles?

Thank you for making this! I missed Wulfhart. I agree his unit should be made as a RoR so it will stop gaining XP too.
