Description
Cave Johnson here. I've just been informed that a Mr L.B. from our programming department has been unwell recently. Sorry about that, it's probably the micro-parasites we put into your keyboard. Don't worry about it, all they do is make you feel unwell but actually you're fine - apart from being full of parasites feeding off your blood. I've also been informed that our friend Mr L.B. is a little irritated at how long these pre-recorded messages are getting. With all due respect sir, you're an idiot and we've put more parasites into your keyboard. Cave Johnson, we're done here.

Welcome to Axiom, an ambitious monoportal map with multiple test chambers. There are, in total, four tests of increasing difficulty: three small tests, each focusing on one gel type, and then a final challenge with all three gel types. Each test has only one stationary orange portal, so you'll have to use your blue portal to manipulate the gel in clever ways.

Gel maps and monoportal maps are both very difficult to create, so combining them was a real challenge. I hope it's paid off.

An "Axiom", in logic, is something which is assumed to be true, a constant. In this map, the orange portal is stationary - it is constant, assumed to be true, hence the name.

Difficulty: Medium-Hard

Music: Portal Stories: Mel - Acceleration by Harry Callaghan/Harry101UK

Feedback and playthroughs are much appreciated :)

good easy-medium gel extravaganza chamber! Even the white gel rooms weren't so bad!

Not a big gel fan, but that last room is excellent. Such swift gel re-painting, Faved!

Was really frustrating to complete the last chamber, but upon watching the video I realize there was a much simpler solution that required less timing than what I ended up doing.:steamsad: I never realized you could use the blue gel to get back up to that platform next to the cube-dispensing room, so I kept trying to place a portal on that platform whilst keeping the blue gel falling in between the two portals. Very elegant solution on your part, but I can't help but feel there's some way my complicated solution could have seemed less viable. Nice work anyhow!

Not usually a fan of single-color portal gun maps, but this was pretty damn good.

The dexterity requirements for this test are too high. It's practically not doable on a controller and is very trial and error even if you're using keyboard. Sometimes I'd get caught on a piece of geometry as well. Very smart Portal level design, but too frustrating to give a thumbs up.

Tough one, easy-advanced; bit hard for me than usual since I am lousy at twitching moves, slow choreographic moves is most of what I can do comfortably.

Wow, a 4-in-1 :steamhappy:
The penultimate and the final chamber felt like they could be exploited a bit, but I guess not. I did everything just the same way the official solution video did. My only other minor complaint would be that the fizzler at the end of the last chamber should be behind grating. Imagine fizzling the cube when you bring it through...
It's a BIG thumbs up and almost a favourite!:neonsmile:

Came here to play the original after thoroughly enjoying the hammer version just released. Super fun. I will say, I don;t think I would have been able to solve this had I played it first. Something about the hammer versions hold my attention longer.
