Sons of the Void is a dungeon crawler where you control a three-member squad in order to explore, shoot, get juicy loot and save the universe from an imminent destruction.

Sons of the Void features:
  • 2D Space dungeon crawler with RPG elements
  • Unique Swap Mechanic: swap in-game between any of your 3 member squad at any given point, thus activating their special abilities
  • Procedural missions: Each mission features different locations, goals and advantages/disadvantages to the player. Have a different experience every single time!
  • Progress and upgrade your characters: At the end of each mission collect your rewards and use them to improve your characters’ abilities

You are part of the Sons of the Void Society, a group of Void worshippers united by a leader, The Nomad, who is nothing else but a mere vassal of The Void, an ancient monolith with uncertain, but impressive powers.

The Nomad will assign you missions across the universe, where you must recover the lost pieces of The Void, rebuild it, and thus give back its full power. You only have once chance, so don't waste it.

However, not everything is about shooting enemies. By completing each mission, you'll be rewarded with credits that you can spend to improve your characters' skills, upgrade and buy weapons, get better and fancier buildings for your town and improve your whole society.

A spaceship crashes into an unknown planet. Nomad, the only survivor, wanders in the nearby area looking for food and shelter, however, he runs into a mysterious and broken black stone, hidden under sand dunes. Intrigued, he starts to unbury it and recognizes the stone immediately: It’s The Void, a monolith he’s heard about in ancient legends which talked about the primal power that resided in it.

Suddenly, The Void activates causing Nomad to enter a state of trance. A vision crosses his mind where the Universe is destroyed. It has communicated with him and has shown him the Truth, but he’s also shown him the way to avoid it. He must rebuild The Void to restore its ancient power, and he’ll need help for that.

As if he knew what he should do, Nomad places his hand over The Void, which makes it emit a bright, reddish light ray which seems to split into many into the sky.

Help is coming now, and Nomad is the chosen one to drive them through as their leader.

The Call has begun.

Now, he’s got a new purpose.

Although you have to select your squad, you’re only able to play as one of the members at once. However, you can swap between characters at any given point!

There are two kinds of members swap: simple swap and skill swap.

The first does as advised, a character will swap for another one instantly.

The latter, however, will trigger a skill for the swapped in character, for example, The Spike will bounce off incoming bullets for a short period of time, making you invulnerable to bullets (but not to explosions) for a brief time. On the other hand, when swapping The Chevalier in, he'll fall from the skies, stunning all smaller enemies around, letting you move to a safer position or take advantage of the situation. This kind of swap is limited.

You can also swap to exploit certain game mechanics: Killing enemies with The Chevalier can cause enemies to explode on death. If that effect is triggered and you swap to The Vermikaze before the explosion, its radius and effectiveness will increase... but only if you've learned those passive skills via the Monolith!

The Society asks you to complete several tasks to prove you’re worthy. Tasks for which you’ll have to visit dangerous but intriguing planets, in order to know more about The Void and any clue you can get to restore its power.

The Society always offers you three different missions in three different locations, and you can take whichever you prefer.

To get to the mission's location you’ll have to use your spaceship, though. Thanks to the LHVC (Large Hadron Vortex Collider) technology, great distances can be covered in a matter of seconds, however, this can cause several secondary effects, although not all of them are necessarily bad.

These effects last just for the time you’re doing the mission. They change several aspects of the core gameplay, so you will have to adapt to the new conditions.

For example, Oily Feet will make you slide through terrain, but Security will increase every squad member’s life.

El sistema de los bichos tiene que ser cojonudo. Hacen falta mas juegos así de originales y fresquetes.
Yo lo compraré sin dudarlo. Esperando a que esté pronto en Steam.
