Description
About The Game
Not An RPG is a free text based RPG where you, a simple citizen rises up and takes the throne! Originally the game was supposed to be the main game that houses 6 FREE DLCs each of which being a full story based on the seven deadly sins (the main game being Greed).
As of now everything is changing so rapidly that I'll update this one day and it will be wrong the next so for now just know it's a game that takes text based elements and impliments them in it's own way

Why post as concept instead of finishing
I have worked on every part of the game besides music by myself, because of this and because of school and other life things the game has been cancled and relaunched a total of 3 times so far. I am posting this as a Concept idea in hopes to see what people think of it thus far and possibly give me the motivation to finish it.
I am now working on this in a team of 5 and have another person who will join in when we start with the multiplayer. We all have either jobs or school (some of us both) so yes develpment will be slow but it is for sure coming! We have invest too much into this to let it die without a fighting chance. Even if everyone else leaves I am personaly going to see this ALL the way through! This will remain posted as a concept though becuase of how early in development it is.

v0.0.4
The game is currently in EXTREAMLY early pre alpha and has never been publicly annouced before the makeing of this concept page.

Multiplayer
As of right now the plan for multiplayer would be to have a battle arena like thing where you can use the charectors you've leveled up from the main game, use preset charectors, or use starter charectors to fight in a battle arena. There are no plans for co-op but if the game ever gets out of alpha it could be a possibility.
We have put a fair bit of thought into this and have some good ideas but that is a fair bit down the line. I am sorry to say though that there will not be co-op. It just doesn't fit what I was going for with the main game however if we discuss and decide there will be co-op I will let everyone know.

RIP Greenlight everyone! :( Feels bad. Slightly upset that I paid for it and never got to use it but whatever. Hate seeing it go but at least Steam Direct is afordable enough for me.

I made this two years ago and so if I was to continue work on it I would rewrite it all in a language that makes more sense for it. However, that is a lot of work which is why I uploaded it here as a concept if it gets a fair bit of people that like it (like 10 people maybe) then I will go through the effort of redoing it all and finishing it. If it doesn't get much attention I may just let it finally die. But also I don't really care too much about hiding the source code. If you want to look at it and change it go ahead I am totally for it! Put's more life into the game and it's gonna be free anyway so it's not like it would bring issues of piracy. The only issue I would have with it would be people claiming it as their own which is why I would upload it to a known DRM like steam instead of an indie site.

Also to Vincentmario, thank you. I know I didn't say a lot about the game in my presentation of it so it's good to hear it looks amazing with what little I did say about it.

Won't fall under the realm of a Steam game due to it being a Batch Script. If you want to share the files with anyone you should probably compile the script with something like F2KO to hide the source code or write it up in C++, like World Of Textcraft was written in.
