Naval Battle - Empire Vs Rebel Empire

Video -

Fight on a Empire Greatship and defeat those Rebels who have taken one of Sigmars great Vessels! They have hidden in a hideaway and the Empire have sent there own Greatship to recapture the ship which belongs to the Empire and not those Rebel Scum!

- Good for a 1v1, will be crowded on a 4v4.
- Small Map (Arena Style)
- Awesome Ships?

(This is a Test somewhat to see if Naval Battles (Somewhat) Can Work and for Novalty purposes so any feedback will help for the next Ship map i'll do. Also this was surposed to be a Quick map While i worked on another ship of a different Faction but turned into a bigger project then expected. These Ships were never meant for this as they were going to be used for Map makers as prefabs and Background fun but hey why the hell not? )

This was a huge pain to do and alot of fiddle with to get it to work so if you notcie anything wrong let me know.

The first of Many Naval Battles i hope to do.

I will be updating it to add more eye candy but i want a test and see how it funtions so please let me know if anything is amiss!

This was Replicated by using a Model from the Man o War Tabletop by Gamesworkshop.

(The Funnel in the Water is Needed otherwise the Units will bug out and Not Move at All (Spent 12 hours trying to figure out a workaround and this is the best i could do sorry if it ruins the map abit)

Hey Bloody Hound, I don't know if you have ever tried to do this, but do you know if you can add ships maps like normal maps to the campaign?

Great work.

I don't understand why CA can't make maps like this for naval battles. All they would have to do is essentially create a few waterscape maps and a few large models for faction-specific ship. The waterscape maps themselves would not contain the ships, but would contain placeholder ship models that could be swapped in and out depending on which factions are facing off against each other. The drawbacks would be that the ships would obviously remain stagnant in the boarding phase & that each ship would have to have a similar model structure in order for the model swapping to work (for the playable / accessible areas of the ship) without breaking the terrain passability of the map. In spite of the drawbacks, this would be much better than merely having to auto-resolve boring conflicts at sea. I know this is possible because I've seen systems like this in other games.

Totally understand what you mean Bluetiger, but if it goes smaller. Units will be having a hard time. only thing i can prob do it decrease the size of the cannons and railings to get the impresssion your not so small etc

Don't get me wrong, this map is awesome! I've always thought something like this would be badass, and it is. However, it feels a little weird how gigantic the ships are and how teeny tiny all the little empire soldiers are. It feels more like a swarm of mice fighting another swarm of mice on the other ship rather than actual men fighting. I still love this map however, the ships are nicely detailed. Great job!

dude you should be working for them... with ideas like this... ur on ur way to amazing things my friend +1+1+1 epic give us more!!! think dynasty warriors the battle of CHIBI.... with hundreds of ships tied together made into a battle platform do somthing like that... golden good idea right? broken ships shis halfway sunk... connnected to each other with just a small path to get by in some ships... others fully still there... good?
