Hey everyone! Working on textures and map generator.
Mercwaste has been Greenlit!
Mercwaste is PvP (you can also play offline with bots) multiplayer FPS with fully destructible map and lots of unique or very rare features such as:

1) RPG style character creation with stats that really affects gameplay.
2) Armor that would never be penetrated by weapons with lower penetration power.
3) Ability to dual wield any two one handed items or weapons. (You can also just take one handed weapon in two hands to increase stability)
4) Ability to fold/unfold stock any moment.
5) Wounds system, including bleedings, arterial bleedings, fractures, contusion.
6) In-server economy (all weapons and items unlocked from start, however you need to earn money by winning rounds to buy things. You can't move money to the next server).
7) Weapon inertia based on it's weight and point of balance. Always wanted to know why SWAT guys prefer SMGs over assault rifles in close combat? You'll see why. ;)
8) Realistic weapon stats where all weapons has their role and there are no "cheap weapons that are bad". You can master anything you want.
9) 100% correct hitreg.
10) Very good optimization, you could start it on very old PC with stable 60 FPS.
11) Linux and Mac OS support.
12) Smart netcode system that minimizes possibilities for hacks. (We would upgrade it even more)
13) Poise system. Characters can fall to the ground when alive.
14) Easy mod support. (You can very easily replace models, sounds and textures, if there would be any)
15) Not so easy map editor.
16) Over 100 weapons.

And much, much more.

The game is made on our own engine that was in development for 3 years.
All in-game content was created by us.

Plans for future.
* More maps.
* More gear such as rocket launchers, bulletproof shields, landmines, crowbars etc.
* More sounds.
* More visual effects.
* Light/Shadows or textures.

I can't see how workshop support can be bad. How support for anything could be bad?

And also there are nothing special in engine. It is technologies of 1990x. We even use OpenGL 2.1. Anyone can do this engine, so there are no reason to make it free. Hardest parts is to make it look cool, what we're basically doing.
If we'll release engine by itself - first there wouldn't be any profit, second - it would be another cool dead engine, like voxlap. It's extremily hard to make maps in our engine, it's almost like coding graphics on brainfuck, and design things that would look good, when watching at map. You can't just add shadows, lighting or "good" models, then map would look shitty.

It's my mission in front of me - make something that looks good on this engine.

We're gonna make a video and post some screenshots in a near future, cause map generator is almost finished.

Whatever. We're working on visuals and everything looks more detailed. We rushed with greenlight just because russia is poor coutnry and when there were talks about that steam direct would require $100-$5000 to pass, we were kinda scared, because even 300$ is a lot for russia. Nah, we will release a game. It's fine that it's looks like shit, all games were like that at one point. And we're trying to improve ourselves, not do only what we can do.

Part Three
P.S. Sound a little dark, but Hey! You already did a great job! Remember it. I admire Your work.
P.S.S. Speaking about Steam. Full compatibility with Steam, including workshops, achivements and other things will kill Your free engine spirite. Steam API too intrucive and Steam policy.. well You will just sell Your soul to devil.
Please! Keep engine(game) free and open, You can charge money by yourself, if You want, but don't use Steam. People won't be able fully use Your creation, if it will be controlled by big corporation.
I know it's hard to get attention without it, but do You really want to waste 3 (or maybe it's better to say 7?)years of work falling in this trap? Hope not.

Sincerely Yours,
Laplace's Demon Sep 4, 2017 @ 2:26pm
Part Two
As engine open for everybody, keaping alive on donation of community. Always evolving, always growing.
It's hard pass, but I think, it's the only pass. Don't know if You had enough desire and will, to go by this hard way.
Otherwise, it will be just forgoten like another, in people minds and memory, sandbox voxel shooter.

Dear Mister and furrysexual fgt( devs, in short),
I will be honest with You.
Lets face it.. this game is bad.. really bad..
If we look on it, as game.
However, if we speak about engine, Your engine is beautifull.
How many voxels on average map do You have? What maximum amount of voxels on simple hardware? What graphic API do You use? OpenGL?
It's just incredible!
But only as engine.
As game, it's need too much additional work, more advanced game design, level design and many other thigs. Game won't show whole potential of this engine. People blind, they will assign tags (sandbox, minecraft), they won't see true power of Your creation, unless You will show them and with this game You can't do it.

I can see triumph of Your creation, as victory of small seed, base for many other games, that will be created by big teams, with years spend on design (level, quest, gameplay).
