Devas Autopilot Mod

This mod is working like the "Pitch Altitude Hold" setup which can be found for instance by F-16s.
Basically it is fixing the altitude when it is turned on but still let's you to adjust speed, do pitch, yaw and roll.
In addition to that Loiter (Pylon Turn) has been also added to the script.


- Fixes the altitude to the sea level altitude when the autopilot is activated (will be referred as initial altitude)
- Gives possibility to pilot to adjust speed, pitch, yaw and roll angles while autopilot is open. Autopilot returns fixed-wing airplanes to initial altitude after control is released back
- Autopilot automatically turns off when
••••••• Speed below minimum speed based on landing speed. In case of helicopters minimum speed is 40 kmh
••••••• Speed above 0.9 Mach
••••••• Engine is damaged
••••••• Roll angle is above maximums 35° (only for helicopters)
••••••• Pitch angle is above maximums which is 25° for helicopters and 50° for fixed-wings
••••••• Rudder control (only by helicopters)
- Gives autopilot functionality to every air vehicle at mission start automatically
- Gives loiter (Pylon Turn) functionality to every fixed-wing at mission start automatically
- Autopilot and Loiter cannot be turned on at the same time
- Only pilot can turn it on/off. If co-pilot takes control, he/she is able to use the autopilot as well

Script version of the mod

Main functionality is same. Script needs to be installed to server only. In future mod version will probably more advanced though. So keep that in mind when you decide to use the script one

I have found that the issues with circling in the same spot instead of in an orbit in loiter mode usually only happens to me when im on a mod map. never have it happen on a vanilla map

Have you figured out what causes it? I was able to get it to work yesterday roughly 20% of the time. This mod is such a crutch for my ISR missions lol

Any known issues with the FIR A-10C?
I have a strange issue where sometimes enabling "orbit" mode will cause the aircraft to stop moving and start spinning in place while rapidly losing air speed which eventually leads to a stall.

depends on Airplane I think. You need to try :) this Script is an old one and actualy needs a redone..

Is there any way to gauge what the "Loiter" radius is, its super difficult to set it where i want it. Is it based on speed? or does the script manage the turn automatically?
