Description
A test that requires using elements from both an 70's enrichment sphere and a modern test chamber. Video is a playthrough.

R1-Release
R2-Toned back or removed red herrings
R3-revamped parts of test to remove "loops" and make it more obvious as to where you need to go

P.S in case You or anyone else is interested, I recently made a map with a similar layout(didn't steal, promise), though it takes a while to get to that part. There is no old Aperture, it's less sandbox-y and has a harder puzzle, but someone might enjoy it :P

Great map! I only really did the start, funnel ride to blue button and second old chamber as intended, everything else in a different way. It felt like a sandbox with stuff conveniently thrown around, not a bad experience :P First time around, I did what sentientcloudwastaken did: painted the roof right away. I overshot but by little enough to still get to exit the first time, but too much every other time i tried to repeat it(it was only posible cause gel acted weirdly and painted to the side. Should be an easy fix, but the map is too old for that, I assume). Dislike invisible walls a lot, so I got onto the walkway using blue gel and to the other half of the roof. Wasn't easy, but "ha!"
Loved the visuals and all the work that went into making this level! Make more! <3

So... I solved it without visiting the second old test chamber and I didn't need the funnel to get the blue gel. Also I totally overshot the exit.

Holy crap this one has intensive Hammer usage! This is a very ambitious map you created. I got stuck a few times just because I never saw anything like it before or I just didn't get what to do to get there. Just curious, did you export a map from the in-game editor and make it crooked in Hammer? I also felt the entire playthrough was of random difficulty. Like it starts off pretty easy, then it gets hard, and then it gets easier, all in the same map. I did have to peek at the solution video a few times because of the unusual level design.

Hello again. Just checking out some old tests on my new system. This one is especially memorble :D

Perhaps I wasn't specific enough last year as to the confusions...
1) I found a convincing near-solution that involves an angular fling out of the new test chamber and off of repulsion gel.
2) As for accessing the gels, I didn't quite need the gels the same way you did. I found I could use propulsion gel instead of repulsion gel in some places (or even no gel at all). As such I didn't need the old area nearby the new area at all.
3) It's not entirely obvious that propulsion gel is needed to exit by running off of the top of the test chamber.

Guys, you have to think logically. Start at the exit and work your way backwards. Hope that helps. The exit is the one in the modern room.

I found it confusing. Love the theme, but could use maybe a few more hints as to where to go and what to do.
