Description
Release date: 2017
A "2D car-combat sci-fi shooter 90's inspired game" with rogue-like elements.

Carsteroids is a challenging top-down shooter where the "protagonist" will need to win the final prize for getting out from his sudden troubles.
Inspired by the "90's 16-bit era machines" and the "arcade machines", the game is concentrated on the player's skills to win the impossible tournament and to proceed with the story:

"418 years after our planet's death the man entered into its darkest age...
The asteroid belt was the final frontier for the search of the resources. Now, it is the biggest spaceport ever known, the asteroids are almost drained and the inhabitants are raging civil war for the independence from the Earth dominion.

The governor of Vesta created a combat game show to avoid the war, the game was called Carsteroids:

We have the greatest show in the Solar System! Are you looking for glory? Money? Are you smuggling some goods? Are you seeking for revenge? Maybe you are a slave with no choices, so fight for freedom! Or simply wanna have fun? Make your own destiny in the Carsteroids arenas!"

ITALIAN DESCRIPTION
******************************

Cool game overall so I voted yes. There's a lot of potential here, game feels like an arcade game should feel. Yet its overshadowed by outdated graphics and perhaps lack of interesting level designs.

@nakano
thank you very much!! I was already building the 1vs1 multiplayer mode with different ideas like a "capture the flag" mode or an "air hockey" mode (with cars!). But a local tournament mode with more opponents (like D-zone) as you suggest could add a really good twist! thank you, I'll definitely consider it!!

Looks interesting. Can you consider a local tournament mode? For example all against each other (6 players) or a team mode (3 vs 3) with base destruction option to win? Games would be played through several rounds and an option to upgrade vehicles between every three rounds by going shop with earned money. Personally looking a spiritual successor for D-Zone: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9jZpEOjSxk
Haven't seen anyone made on yet (except the creator himself, but don't like his new iteration) and this game might give potential to something similar with a twist and you even have bots!

Thank you everybody for the comments, they are precious for me. I am working hard to improve the game to obtain a challenging old school arcade game.

The maps look pretty basic and dull. Definitely would be nice to see more creative level design going on, like more and different sized obstacles rather than huge open areas of flat terrain.

Would be nice to see more weapon variety.
