JSRS Studios presents:
JSRS SOUNDMOD



A sound mod for ArmA3 . My personal creation of a new audiovisual direction. With more than a few thousand new sound effects JSRS SOUNDMOD provides a powerful and new sound experience, from all weapons, vehicles, effects, maps and what not!

For those having problems with mod dependency: Whenever you load a saved game or want to edit a mission that was saved with an older version of JSRS and you end up with messages like "Missing Addon JSRS_SOUNDMOD_GLOCK17" or similar, now you can use this:
JSRS Soundmod Dependency Fixes

This is a CFG Bundle of JSRS Patches that were used in the past that are not available any longer. Download it, use it as a mod, load your mission/edited mission and save them again and the dependency is gone.

Do you think you could help me I have retextured some weapons and I would like to change how they sound but I am not sure how to do it.

The sound of AK74 and M4 sounded terrible, monotonous and unreal. Is this gunshot really recorded on-site? These two weapons are often used by people, the original version is even better, but the other sounds are really great. I hope you can do better and listen to other people’s suggestions. Great mod but it took me one day to figure out it was making me unable to load, resume Dynamic Recon Ops in workshop Scenario. Any chance to fix that?

Wow, does this sound good, though, in combination with ES and Real Engine. I also have another mod that sounds like pumpkins being smashed when people get shot in the head. And Goko Ballistic impact. I will definitely take this combo over stock even if it's not being updated.

I should also mention that the distance attenuation is supposed to be frequency-based, as the higher the frequency, the more they attenuate with distance. High frequencies also do not penetrate materials as well.

It's also interesting that mortar and artillery rounds in real life when they near or exceed speed-of-sound during terminal velocity and are aiming at you on descent will actually become silent to you until they hit you. So they saying goes, if you lose the sound of an incoming mortar or artillery round that hasn't impacted yet, you better find cover.
