DASH IS OUT on Gamejolt and!!!
DASH is Almost Done!!!

DASH is primarily a First Person Platforming game that focuses on a “dash” mechanic. This dash can be used as a boost to platform, as a way to avoid obstacles, and as a way to dash through enemies to take them out.

  • First Person “Dash” action, where you can dash to platform, avoid obstacles, and destroy enemies.
  • 5 Levels featuring different challenges such as:
    • Moving Platforms - Test your platforming skills by trying to land on moving platforms.
    • Spike and Laser Walls - Dash through laser walls to avoid being blasted to pieces and watch out for spike walls so you don’t get impaled!
    • Diamond Turrets - Avoid being hit by the turrets’ plasma shots and dash through the turrets to take them out.
  • Time trial: The game will track how long you take to complete each level, you can replay levels to try to beat your last best time!
  • A space-y, trippy artstyle.
  • A short story involving the mysterious PYRAMID.
  • An original electronic soundtrack by Paul Kim.

If you want to get a taste of what the game is like, there is a demo version of the game on gamejolt! Play through the first tutorial level of the game and learn the DASH mechanic.
Remember that this demo is in a beta stage so some visuals, audio, or implementations may change. Feel free to leave a comment or suggestion and I will gladly consider it.

  • Current Progress - The game is roughly 60-70% done. All major mechanics are implemented and levels 1-3 are mostly done. Plans for level 4 and 5 are already made and other smaller details are being finalized.
  • How long will the game be? - It is no secret that this game will be short, roughly 45min-1hr in length to finish the first playthrough. You can replay levels to try to complete them faster though!
  • Price? - Do to the game being short, I am planning to keep the price reasonable. Currently planning on pricing it at around 2$.
  • Release Date? - I am currently hoping to be done with development by the end of February. This means the steam release date will most likely be around the beginning to mid March. I will post updates if progress does begin to stagnate.
  • Future Plans and Updates? - Though I do not intend to release additional levels after release, I will keep in track of bugs. Also depending on the community response I may consider implementing an online leader board for level complete times.
